BRASS DEVIL: plotting post 2
● ● ● SEPTEMBER PLOTTING POST: MISSION LOG 2
The time has come to plot for how the heist to get the orb from the Lionetta Main HQ is going to go down! Before you get into planning, here is a quick recap of what has been found out so far:
• The three families were formed from the mining families 200 years ago.
• A magical stone was found in the Alonetti mine, and the mine owner's daughter (who Ti'shaaz calls Ruvia Alonetti), disappeared with it after her parents died. It has also been noted that Alonetti is an anagram for Lionetta.
• Olexa seems to be making a lot of the decisions on her own, without consulting anyone.
• The Lionetta Main HQ sits on the Miniera Ruvida, and it has a door that leads from the mine to the HQ; a key has been found that may or may not be the key to that door.
• Cheri had the gala marked as an anniversary, and is rumoured to be seeing someone.
• The fountain near the HQ is another entrance to the Miniera Ruvida, and there seems to be a secret way out of the Main HQ that at least Olexa uses.
• To get into the Lionetta Main HQ, you need an access badge, and there are security cameras inside the main entranceway. The team also now has access to blueprints of the Main HQ.

· THE HEIST
The second log contains prepping for the heist as well as the heist itself.
Please respond HERE with an idea for how the team could get inside the Main HQ and gather a group who will be doing that. So you could have different groups for those in the mines, those who try to get in through the main entrance, those who try the outside elevator, those who might be providing tech support, those who might be causing a distraction — and so on. Then simply comment to whichever group your character would most likely participate in.
We ask that you do this by Wednesday, September 29, 6PM GMT. This way, the mods have time to include your ideas in the actual log.
The log will contain a variety of prompts to match your plans and allow for multiple ways to enter the Main HQ, as well as prompts for actually infiltrating the Main HQ and the obstacles that come with it. Some of them you already have an idea of, if you look at the search request responses carefully! But be prepared to sneak, to avoid traps (magical and mechanical) and maybe do some fighting as well.
Finally, the second log will offer a chance for two characters to get to the orb. These two will make it to where the orb is kept and will have a chance to actually be the ones to steal it. Note that this will be an NPC thread. If you would like to sign up for this, please comment HERE.
As with the first mission, the conclusion of the mission and the return to the station will come later, halfway in October. As before, that will not be a separate log, so for the latter half of the month when characters are on the station, players are encouraged to make their own logs.

Please use this post to plot for what you want to do in the second log.
You may use this form to post your plotting comments:
HEIST GROUPS
Others can then comment around and +1 the suggestions their character would join, with ideas on what their character could do or provide that group with. You can see an example of how this could go here. (And please note the mods do not endorse this plan of action. It is merely an example.)
LIONETTA-ONLY CLUB PARTY??? | Distraction!
Things of use for this, I'm hoping...!:
- Entertainment options, people who can perform instruments/be a stage presence! Obviously would be Lionettas in family name, or someone who can disguise themselves as one!
- Someone who can disable any cars used to get there (i.e. slashing tired, ruining the wiring, etc.); can be another family member, technically, since if you get caught that only makes sense? Perhaps even disabling any way the Lionetta fam can contact their HQ, if that's possible, so they don't get any alerts.
- Anything else your heart thinks of that could be of use to keep HQ a little less busy with family members who could try to stop or catch our heisters. :|b
I'M SPITBALLIN HERE BUT YEAH!!!! DISTRACTIONS!!!!
+1 ; here! for! distraction!
but also mostly i just want the doctor to live his dreams of joining a band; he may not be an Expert like his next regen, but he's got Stage Presence

As for a silly suggestion, what if the also organize a beauty pageant during the party, because eye-candy can sure get people distracted.

He can manage the floor, make sure the show runs smoothly but also makes sure that everyone are a lot less sober than they're planning to be. ( He's been testing local bars and which drinks give the biggest kick, don't @ him. The offered drinks might have a lot more alcohol present in them than their names suggest )
Maybe they could rent a building with an indoor private parking lot that could - oh - conveniently malfunction near the end of the party/ or should the word of emergency get out earlier than expected.

If nothing else, escape plan?

brainstorming: hand-off
If a single person ends up running with the orb at any point, he can silence them completely - which isn't invisibility but hey, every bit helps, right? If they want this, they'll just have to be aware they can't verbally call for help if they need it, but the network texting should still be usable to get ahold of someone, including him if they want the silence canceled.

People who have the ability or tech to fly could also either provide aerial support or grab the orb too and run away with it as well.

yea we might need like a person on the communicator to serve as the navigator to lead them in/out of there

Have the B heist group distracting from the proper heist group.

LIONETTA HQ DECOY GROUP
- Hermann will pose as one of the current existing team members, wearing a god awful disguise and stumbling into one of the lots and pretending to have one too many peach schnapps.
- Perhaps have one (or more) people to have a pretend scuffle so the guards can hopefully run in to break it apart.
- Or something else! Trying to get chummy around the guards? Trying to deal them spicy contraband?
- Maybe have someone swoop in and save Hermann’s ass in case things go south super fast ???
west side story style!!!
peter would structure this with an emphasis on non-violence, and nobody actually getting hurt. if your char would actually go to town on people, though, who could stop them? well maybe someone would try. + lots of options for those of us with a punch a teammate missions.
as for where: some happy medium of close to Lionetta HQ (which makes it easier for people to bail to go do something about it) and far enough away that they can't just walk over when the heist is noticed. Perhaps triggered at a lionetta location which makes the turf war more obvious?
ANYWAY that's all i got /)~(\

Infiltration | Mines + HQ surveillance room
Peter has a retractable helmet that allows him to filter the air and to see in dark places, but carrying some old-fashioned gas mask can both help people avoid getting intoxicated and to conceal their faces if anybody spots them.
For the Heist in itself, Peter will be part of the group infiltrating the Lionetta's HQ. I'm waiting for the mod's reply about if the key Finn/Jim found could be replicated, so more than one person has copies of it just in case. The key might not be useful in the end, but ey, it never hurts to come prepared.
He knows Kovacs got an access badge and that they have the blueprints thanks to Erik, but his main worry is that there are cameras around. Time to get clothes/disguises like the ones worn by the Lionetta's family and play dress up. According to the blueprints, floor 27 has red lines drawn all across the hallway, which might be an indication of traps/a laser security grid cliche. Disabling whatever is on floor 27 and figuring out what the purple overlay means on floor 26, sound pretty important.
Turning off the whole surveillance system would alert the Lionetta's that something's wrong, but they can try to get to the Control room following the blueprints and neutralize the people there. Not killing them, just leaving them unconscious or tied up. Alternatively, if any of the orbers is good at hacking/tech, they could program the cameras to show images in a loop. Bit of speculation here, though, because I'm not sure if there's even an accessible control room in the building.

Also he might have the key on him even if it can't be replicated, but if it can they should definitely give copies to others just in case they're caught or something.

He also has access w/Bucky to various weapons of the Featherstones', including weapons-disabling stuff (fun fun) so that's on the table, too.
(OOCly, it's no fun if one player is OP af {and the suit is} so I'm all for him playing a support role)

Going down the mines
IDK if people want to split into teams as there are several different entrances or just choose one entrance. Either way, Kaidan is being offered as a fighter/support/tech-trap finder. It's been hinted by the mods that they use an entrance other than the one leading from HQ to the fountain as that one is in use.

TINKERED ITEMS
quick note that because of how Percy's abilities work in his setting, taking an item from him carries a small chance of said item either failing on you or working in a rather unexpected fashion, something he'll be sure to caution your character about. in general most of what he crafts should work well enough, but dude has a bad habit of pushing himself to exhaustion when it comes to work. he could well have missed a couple things.
