BRASS DEVIL: plotting post 2


SEPTEMBER PLOTTING POST: MISSION LOG 2


The time has come to plot for how the heist to get the orb from the Lionetta Main HQ is going to go down! Before you get into planning, here is a quick recap of what has been found out so far:

The three families were formed from the mining families 200 years ago.

A magical stone was found in the Alonetti mine, and the mine owner's daughter (who Ti'shaaz calls Ruvia Alonetti), disappeared with it after her parents died. It has also been noted that Alonetti is an anagram for Lionetta.

Olexa seems to be making a lot of the decisions on her own, without consulting anyone.

The Lionetta Main HQ sits on the Miniera Ruvida, and it has a door that leads from the mine to the HQ; a key has been found that may or may not be the key to that door.

Cheri had the gala marked as an anniversary, and is rumoured to be seeing someone.

The fountain near the HQ is another entrance to the Miniera Ruvida, and there seems to be a secret way out of the Main HQ that at least Olexa uses.

To get into the Lionetta Main HQ, you need an access badge, and there are security cameras inside the main entranceway. The team also now has access to blueprints of the Main HQ.



· THE HEIST

The second log contains prepping for the heist as well as the heist itself.

Please respond HERE with an idea for how the team could get inside the Main HQ and gather a group who will be doing that. So you could have different groups for those in the mines, those who try to get in through the main entrance, those who try the outside elevator, those who might be providing tech support, those who might be causing a distraction — and so on. Then simply comment to whichever group your character would most likely participate in.

We ask that you do this by Wednesday, September 29, 6PM GMT. This way, the mods have time to include your ideas in the actual log.

The log will contain a variety of prompts to match your plans and allow for multiple ways to enter the Main HQ, as well as prompts for actually infiltrating the Main HQ and the obstacles that come with it. Some of them you already have an idea of, if you look at the search request responses carefully! But be prepared to sneak, to avoid traps (magical and mechanical) and maybe do some fighting as well.

Finally, the second log will offer a chance for two characters to get to the orb. These two will make it to where the orb is kept and will have a chance to actually be the ones to steal it. Note that this will be an NPC thread. If you would like to sign up for this, please comment HERE.


As with the first mission, the conclusion of the mission and the return to the station will come later, halfway in October. As before, that will not be a separate log, so for the latter half of the month when characters are on the station, players are encouraged to make their own logs.

Blue can't physically help, but he can mentally project himself from a distance and support with some psionic tricks (making people immobile, stopping bullets, etc.)

General plans:
See above! I'd like to be able to just swooce in where there's altercations to give Orbers a temporary edge against their attackers, so please do @ me and I can drop a comment and flee without disrupting your threads!

Character: Peter Quill
Role for the heist: He's down for the main infiltration and fighting anything that gets in their way.
General plans: Peter is going to be investigating the safety of the mines a few days before the big heist to be sure they're safe enough. Then Peter will be infiltrating the HQ, check if it's possible to mess up the surveillance system, and get to the top floors. Further explained here.

Peter comes equipped with a pair of jeet boot attachments that allows him to fly short distances and a retractable jetpack that gives him a flight capacity of 200 feet. If the elevator gets stuck or they need to fly for any reason, he can help with that. He's also used to flying AND shooting at things with pretty good accuracy at the same time, so he can also offer that kind of aerial support. As far as weapons go, beyond his blasters and energy bolas he has a gravity mine, something that can be used to disarm opponents or even gets them stuck in place if they're wearing enough metal on them (sorry, Ironman).

Info sharing: What he found is linked up there, so nothing new to bring to the table. I'm waiting for mod confirmation about if the key that Finn and Jim found could be forged to make more copies. Ive got an answer from the mods, they can make copies of the key that might or might not open the door that leads from the mine to the HQ so...keys for everyone.

Role for the heist: Infiltration via elevator if someone else in the group has a badge to operate it, but in general he'd be there for actual heisting, however that goes down.
General plans: Handy with a gun and now that he knows what security cameras are (and indeed knows where some of them are) he's happy to shoot those out unless people want them kept on. He'll help either guard the orb-bearer or distract from them depending on how that goes, but he's all for people splitting up into escape groups with an orb hand-off to confuse anyone who might tail them. He has a grenade as well as several Percy-made smaller smoke bombs/bottle bombs/etc to distract with if necessary, plus his silencing ability should it come in handy.
Info sharing: From here, the elevator at the back can go from the ground straight to the midpoint walkway or all the way up to floor 20, but you need a badge in order to make it do that. Otherwise, you can ride it from the walkway level to the ground with just a button push, but only if you're going down - it automatically returns to the walkway afterward.

Also he just delivered three diamonds to a woman carrying a briefcase that looks like the ones city officials use, so either she's posing as an official or the city leaders are working with the Lionettas.
