Hello Orbers and welcome to our OOC intro + gamewide CR meme! We hope you're all excited for the upcoming sixth mission, the mission file and plotting post for which will be coming out just a couple of days. Other such important dates are noted in our updated calendar page.

In the meantime, we'd like to invite new players and characters to comment under this header to introduce themselves and their characters. Meanwhile, existing players are highly encouraged to make their own comments and mingle!

GAME PLANS: MY plan for her is to get her some found family and friends because wow is she the loneliest ever, but Rey is not always the easiest to get along with. She's very prickly and has a hard time trusting people, but she has gotten better about it and she'll be making a conscious effort to try to force herself to make connections.
CR WISHLIST: While I am definitely here for Rey to make friends, she's also a very good option for less cuddly cr and I am always here for IC arguments and misunderstandings and just straight up not getting along, but obvs with proper OOC communication!

Also for real please be her friend she defaults as prickly as hell but she is really very squishy underneath all that if given the chance to be.

Honestly I'm just happy to be here with her and I'm ready for ALL of the things.

Drift is on first impressions a nice, if a bit reserved guy given to voicing his opinions and occasionally going on the random, quasi-hippie tangent about self-reflection and "auras."

That's all true. Drift also happens to be a genuinely nice if moody guy who used to be a mass-murdering top lieutenant and personal assassin for a colonizing warlord who recently underwent a redemption journey. And worse yet - he turns into a racecar that turns into a giant robot covered with swords for marketable model figurines. Ka-chow.

REGRET:

Drift is essentially trying to go back in time to recreate a quantum event that flung him and his friends into an alternate universe to prevent the disappointing future he came from where the love of his life had recently passed away. It's as weird and convoluted as it sounds.

CR WISHLIST:

Short answer: Yes!

Long answer: Drift is...shy about walking around the station without his human guise and tends to hole up on his own between missions. This lie of omission has created some humourous and awkward situations where people who have known him for days or weeks only to discover his true nature on missions. He'll be upfront if asked but prefers to interact with humans (or the human-like) on a more personal level. Partially out of respect, partially out of being a self-loathing longer, and simply because it prevents a lot of neck strain for the other person in a conversation.

Negative and positive CR is always sought after with this guy. He's a bit lonely and not used to anyone wanting to spend time with him. Still, he can be a little intense and opinionated on matters of autonomy, religion, and socio-political issues (he's still a raging anarchist that only recently mellowed out.) Drift is also well-aware of what he was like in his old life so if your character is a ne'er do well former or unrepentant villain (Darkling hay gurl), that might have one or two redeeming qualities or just someone who made a lot of mistakes in their life, expect no judgment from Drift. He tries his best to understand people who went down a dark path and believes in the better nature of others, as corny as that sounds. (Except Megatron, it's Complicated)

tl;dr He's mostly friendly and gets attached easily but keeps his distance, like a feral cat that knows you give the best chin scratches but will still hide under the car, so to speak. A feral cat who is a weeb with dead wife syndrome.

RECAP:

Drift has three missions under his belt and they all been getting progressively worse and he worries the vibes on the station will continue to deteriorate the closer they get to their end goal. But a little murder is still okay, maybe.

RECAP:

yamato has been on the station since kilnan; in scorpion's bend, they were part of group three, sucked at blending in and did not suck at fighting bouldersnakes, and were involved in bringing down the mines. in giva, they were sent to taeum and promptly got themselves arrested and spent like 60% of the mission in jail. as you do. on the station, they're rooming with marta and ace, and will happily check in on anyone they've talked to for more than once!

ETC: noting again that yamato's pronouns are A Whole Thing in canon but in order to side-step what oda is probably working towards (and i will update to that once we get there), right now i refer to yamato with the pronouns they/them. you, however, are free to use he/him, she/her or they/them — all are correct and none are misgendering!

meet nie huaisang: called "the headshaker" by most of the cultivation world, he became the leader of his sect after his brother's tragic death, and proceeded to spend the next ten years seeming to be the most incompetent leader ever -- if you ask him anything, he doesn't know the answer! really, he just wants to paint and care for his birds, so why was he pushed to execute a ten-year revenge plan that required incredible stealth, cunning, a sharp and strategic mind and a hunter's patience?

he's harmless, really! he swears. :)

REGRET: his brother's murder. he's going to get da-ge back and make jin guangyao regret ever existing.

CR WISHLIST: friends! gossip partners! people who like fine art, or drinking, or erotic novels, or birds! people who are easily fooled by his helpless act! people who are not easily fooled and who might provide a nice intellectual challenge! ... basically anything, to be honest.

RECAP: huaisang arrived right before the giva mission, was sent to sedorum, and did absolutely nothing of use! except maybe actually helped some locals in taeum when everything was collapsing. but that's about it. on the station, he doesn't have a roommate yet, so hmu if you want to room with him!

TL;DR

He's a product of the "bright-eyed revolutionary to genocidal warlord to sad old man trying to make up for all the bad shit he did" pipeline. Lead a revolution on Cybertron to try and make a better world and got sucked into the horribleness of war, excessive violence, and indulging in a lot of warcrimes.

Being here is a reprieve from solitary confinement in space prison for the rest of his life, so he's doing his best to live in the moment. 90% guilt by volume and now an avowed pacifist doing his best to be a pacifist.

Megatron, unlike Drift, is not shy about being a giant robot and sticks to his own form whenever a holoform is not more convenient (i.e. doing human scale medical stuff).

REGRET:

Megatron did not join a particular battle against the ultimate product of his horrible authoritarianism, a group Decepticon die-hard loyalists hopped up on robot meth who wanted to kill Megatron for abandoning the cause lead by the ultimate pair of Megatron simps mad that senpair didn't notice them. As a result of his failure to join this fight earlier one his oldest and most genuinely loyal followers and arguably one of his few genuine friends, Ravage, was killed. He wants to turn back the clock and make sure that Ravage survives.

CR WISHLIST:

Anyone who wants to do a support group for People Who Did Bad Stuff and Feel Bad About It is a good choice. Negative CR absolutely adored. If you think he's an irredeemable villain, hate him all you want. Misinterpret him as being menacing when he's just trying to get a point across. People to antagonize him because while he tries really hard, he can still lose his temper and lash out. Youngish idealistic friends that he can feel protective about.

Negative CR is always welcome. Megatron is a polarizing figure who has very strong opinions about politics despite being a giant war criminal. While he tries to be humble, understanding, and friendly that doesn't always work out, as he still carries some pretty severe arrogance and a hell of a temper. Besides that he's also a mass-murdering war criminal and so if your character isn't about that, they can have a delightful negative relationship.

On the other hand, he likes to write poetry, he loves to learn, and he likes helping others learn. He's currently teaching classes on Cybertronian first aid if you want an easy handwaved connection or want to RP something like that out. He also can be found brooding in the common areas reading a lot. So people who want to be friends with the robot grandpa and either learn from him or teach him something new are always appreciated.

RECAP:

Now having been through multiple missions, Megatron is starting to doubt more and more whether these missions are worth it. Working on being less space-racists against organics in general and humans in specific. Is worried that he's getting too attached to the people on the station and wonders if he will be able to handle going back to his eternal imprisonment when this is all over. He keeps his cards close to the vest, but he's older and sadder. He does see the potential in all of the young people here (all of you are young to him, mind) and wants to nurture it in some way, though he's not sure how.

Also has a deeply complicated and awkward relationship with Drift, who Megatron is covering for because he doesn't want everyone else to know that they used to be besties on the murdertrain to Warcrimesville.

INFO: Yennefer is a sorceress from Vengerberg, the capital city of Aedirn (which exists within a place known as the Continent); she grew up severely disfigured and ostracized in her small village due to her quarter-elf heritage, and was eventually sold by her family to rectoress Tissaia de Vries to undergo magic training at Aretuza, an academy for young women who have a connection to Chaos (the name for the magical force in The Witcher). After overcoming certain obstacles, she ascended to the position of sorceress, and after a harrowing and painful magical ordeal, she was also transformed physically into her current body. She became the personal mage to the king of Aedirn, cleaning up political messes and babysitting annoying royals, until she got tired of her position and ditched it to offer magic remedies to any people willing to pay her for them; after that, she was drifting around the Continent looking for any solution that would restore her ability to become a mother herself. At the end of the first season, she channeled a ridic amount of fire to fend off advancing enemy forces at the Battle of Sodden Hill, but the consequences (as revealed at the beginning of Season 2) were the depletion of her power entirely, and she went the entire season without access to her Chaos before a selfless act resulted in having that power restored. She started the series as someone fixated on power and control and wanted to be able to make every choice for her life regarding both; now, she's in a position where she's realizing that having that power is likely the result of her not trying to maintain such a harsh grip on it all the time, and her real strength might be found in a new family (provided they can forgive her for past actions).

REGRET: Yennefer's biggest regret is her initial betrayal of Geralt (and by extension, Ciri) in Season 2; even if she didn't inevitably go through with it and ultimately worked to fight against the biggest threat to the girl's safety at the end of the season, it remains her most significant transgression against two people she cares for and something she would actively seek to change if she could. It's going to take her a long time to get around to opening up about it, and in the midst of pursuing various means to undo it there's no telling what she might be willing to resort to in order to reverse that action.

CR WISHLIST: Honestly, everyone and anyone! People who hail from any kind of magic-based world (or worlds that include magic or other form of power) would be a source of fascination for her, ladies especially; non-humans who might be able to recognize that she is not fully human herself; fellow olds/immortals who are actually much older than they appear (Yen is in her early 80s and thriving obvs); children/young adults that she might make an attempt to mother in her own misguided way; more talkative/outgoing characters for her to either tolerate or barely disguise her annoyance for. Romance is probably not in the cards for her (outside of one silver-haired witcher in particular), but she could pursue some type of casual physical relationship with someone she found intriguing enough or wasn't seriously irritated by — even a friends-with-occasional-benefits situation where there's no risk of deeper emotions coming into play. I'm definitely not opposed to negative CR in the slightest because she's got a tendency to rub people the wrong way by her very nature and has even fewer fucks to give about maintaining deep emotional connections, and she could lend herself to more than a few frenemies or begrudging allies as well.

RECAP: Yennefer went on her first mission! And survived! She also discovered that while her magic is at half-performance level on the station, she can tap into a whole lot more on missions, so that was rather exciting. Now she is just Very Tired and trying to recuperate before the next mission comes up, so she's open for some meetings and random encounters on the station in the downtime. She's also just waiting for the right moment to be able to portal her roomie Billy Butcher out of an airlock to prove a point, but right now they are cohabitating successfully (just... probably also with a lot of bickering coming from their room).

CANON POINT: Early in Star Trek Beyond, on the way to Altamid
INFO: Spock is the quintessential mixed race experience, torn between two worlds and two very different cultures and feeling as if he fits in neither. He was raised on Vulcan to live by the ideals of logic over emotion, though he chose to serve Starfleet and live among humans as a giant and incredibly logical fuck you due to some insults hurled at his human mother. He is now considering leaving Starfleet for New Vulcan in the wake of recent developments and the decimation of his father's species a few years prior. (Please go here for permissions on his telepathic abilities when you get the chance if you intend to have CR with him.)
REGRET: The destruction of Vulcan
GAME PLANS: Spock is incredibly stubborn, but he will be torn about his regret and the ethics involved in undoing it as well as the personal losses he would suffer as a result. I really want to play with the moral and ethical dilemma present in that, because the real heart of Star Trek is sitting around having ethical conversations in space.
CR WISHLIST: Spock loves people who challenge him. Give me characters he can find common ground with, but I also welcome characters who are quite opposite and opinionated about it.

INFO: Muslim influencer-turned-time traveling superhero with wind/air powers. She gives some Elle Woods vibes and she's more likely to yell than get herself into a physical fight, but she'll use her powers defensively or more as needed. She's only recently fell in love for the first time and then promptly had her heart broken at age 34 and just learned what real friends are within the last few years, so she's figuring a lot out about the non-superficial world still, but she does mean well. Probably. (As the show was just canceled, I will probably be updating her soon to the end of this last season's cliffhanger D:<)
REGRET: Leaving John Constantine alone at the wrong moment.
CR WISHLIST: Friends, flirtations, FWB, people who can push back without taking her yelling too personally themselves.
RECAP: So far, Zari's been trying to find where she fits in on this larger team. She's been using her social skills to try to help on missions and making friends where she can. She's also been burying some of her grief in hooking up with some of her friends and dressing up/doing makeup with others. She keeps a lot of the deeper parts of herself buried pretty hard, so she probably comes off as superficial to some, but she's trying to let some people in and she's making some strides in that, opening up about missing her brother and the healing scars she's still dealing with in regards to her heartbreak. She's also started putting more effort into looking after others, offering to help anyone who might need a friend because she spent a lot of her life without real friends and knows how that can affect someone.

CHARACTER: Clarke Griffin

CANON POINT: 3x05 → Hakeldama (shortly after her argument with Bellamy)
INFO: Clarke was born in space and thrown into post apocalyptic Earth where she soon takes on the the role of being one of the leaders of the delinquents. She is the only one with medical experience and knowledge out of the group once they are on the ground and she tries her hardest to protect and keep her people safe and circumvent wars between the Grounders or any other threat constantly trying to survive with some constant improvising with how to handle the situation at any give time. She can be a bit standoff-ish, way too serious for her own good and most of the time she can come across like a bossy know it all without realizing since she comes across as very authoritative with the confidence to match. Clarke does have some trust, self loathing issues and a huge guilt complex going on but she's loyal and stubborn to a fault while being pretty selfless when it comes to protecting her people and those she considers to be her friends.
REGRET: Leaving camp after Mount Weather.
CR WISHLIST: Anything, just give me all the cr! I've listed a few more general things below which this list is definitely not limited to that at all.
→ Friendships (aka please help her stop being a loner)! She needs more people to bully her into just lightening up enough to relax, having fun and being social! People she might end up butting heads with due to differing opinions. People she can look up to or get protective over and aggressively adopt or vice versa because she is so not used to that since she's the type to worry more about other people over herself and being a self sacrificial idiot tbh. She is basically the Mom Friend, okay.
→ People who can make her laugh/smile more or give her more stuff things to nerd out like anything sports related or even just bond with with over artsy and/or medical things.
→ People to spar/train with because she needs more practice so she can hold her own better in a fight.
→ People versed in magic, supernatural abilities, or powers in general for more exposure to that sort of thing since she has never encountered that before.
→ People to teach her about modern Earth things (fashion, food, tech, pop culture idk whatever else) because coming from a post apocalyptic life there's still probably a lot that is new for her and goes over her head. She might be well read about Earth things but lbr it might not be accurate across worlds, there are still things that are very new to her in a lot of ways!
RECAP: Clarke has been in game since the beginning and been leaning into more of a supportive role during the missions because with her canon point making her a bit uncertain of herself and just knowing how she can contribute and be useful outside of using her medical skills to patch people up. She's still suspicious of how legit any of this is especially with how these missions have been going so she's very conflicted with how this might be too good to be true. Overall she's still been doing her part and trying her best to help with the missions in whatever way she can but after these last few missions and the number of close calls she has had, she has a higher interest in wanting to start training more.

L3-37 is a self-built droid rights activist with very little brain-to-vocoder filter. She says what she thinks, with little regards for anyone's hurt feelings.

REGRET:

L3's body was destroyed in the midst of a firefight after she freed a bunch of enslaved droids (and organics) during a heist on Kessel. Her regret isn't the loss of her body, but rather that the mini-rebellion would amount to nothing because there was an Imperial Star Destroyer already on its way to quell it, and the freed slaves had no way to escape offworld.

RECAP:

Elthree's been onboard for three missions now, and is becoming hardened to the fact that violence is often a necessary feature of them, whether or not one considers themselves a fighter. Having been returned to her body following her canon update after the Badrock mission, she built herself a new arm with weaponry and shielding built into it. Her main project at the moment is upgrading and improving the arm's design, and helping Sam upgrade his drone Redwing.

INFO: 18 year old necromancer who is fairly stoic but not actually as mature as she thinks she is, and is nice but occasionally really morbid. Her family's whole Thing is using necromancy to battle the undead rather than raise them, and she's skilled with other applications of magic!

So Sabriel is the 53rd Abhorsen, a position passed down through her family line that means she's tasked with using necromancy (Through a set of seven magical bells) and she only came into the position shortly before her arrival.

Her canon features two countries (that may actually be two separate worlds), separated by a magical wall. In the Old Kingdom, to the north, technology doesn't work, and there's lots of magic- both orderly, commonly used Charter magic, and the more dangerous, chaotic Free magic, which is also the source of necromancy. In Ancelstierre, to the south, magic only works close to the wall, and technology is at roughly the level of the 1920s. Sabriel is from the Old Kingdom, but spent much of her childhood in Ancelstierre, at a girl's boarding school close to the wall that had an... unusual curriculum.

Then her dad got in trouble, she had to go into the Old Kingdom to try to rescue him, and things culminated with dragging the original body of Kerrigor, a Greater Dead spirit of terrible power, back to her school to try to destroy it before he showed up. There was a fight, Sabriel... basically died except all of her ancestors dragged her into life because she wasn't allowed to die until she had a replacement, and Kerrigor was defeated.
REGRET: Her classmates dying in the battle against Kerrigor.
CR WISHLIST: Other teenagers! Other magic users to discuss theory and practice with! Mentor figures! Really, I'm up for anything, especially roommate shenanigans.
RECAP: Sabriel's been here since the very first mission, and her general belief is that even if she's not entirely sure of Degar's intentions, leaving a bunch of sentient, chaos-craving orbs loose to cause trouble is probably a worse idea than gathering them up and sealing them away.

Zhao is a true gangster at heart, the former leader of the Liumang in Yokohama, Japan, born and raised into the lifestyle. Raised in strictness, he now tends to put on an air of devil-may-care and lazy demeanor with a sly lilt to his voice that pokes fun at everything around him. Inside, his true self is rather selfless and caring but don't let him catch you saying that out loud about him. He's ruthless and crazy, a wild card on the loose with little to no compunction about killing to get what he wants. Except when he's not. He's a bit duplicitous that way.

He has recently gone on a (modern day) adventure with Kasuga and a bunch of other misfits so he's a bit more civilized than usual, especially as he left the gangster life behind to do so. However, he's still a gangster at heart and... until proven otherwise I've sort of interpreted other canonical additions as implying he either went back to the Liumang or still has close ties with them so if he sounds wishy-washy on that regard (is he or isn't he a gangster currently) then that's why. He's on the fence about it and probably headed back to resume leadership of his gang. But! All that aside! The point being! Um. What was my point here? Maybe something along the lines of he's here for another adventure and rockin' it while he does so and he's more friendly than one might think when looking at his dumb (stylish?) ass.

REGRET: Something something sworn brother woes something something fix it. He'll talk about it if it comes up but not if it doesn't.

CR WISHLIST:

Anything and everything. Negative or positive. Zhao is friendly so good for a chat or hanging out with new friends, but also a gremlin so he can easily annoy people. He's very laid back here since no obligations on him, but as a former gangster he can also get intense at times or mention bad things like it's no big deal. In other words, he's easy to make friends or enemies and I'll take either/or. And anything in between.

RECAP:

Zhao has been here for all but one of the missions and it ain't no thang. So he would like to pretend. There has been some pretty fucked up stuff going on with these orbs and that's not cool, but on the other hand.... he's already killed his fair share of people that have stood in the Orbers way of getting to their end goal. So. He's prepared to keep on going on.

In other less awful news, he's recently added bonsai to the station! Viv-chan put some on order and Zhao will spread them around to make the place look pretty if no one objects. He may see who else is interested in keeping tabs on the various trees (looking at you Drift) and talk to people curious about such stuff. (I will either post about this before or after next mission depending on time.) Also! He's in the mood to cook a meal for the (entire) station! Some good old traditional Chinese food with lots to go around. He's an exceptional cook in canon... So look forward to that in the future as well!

INFO: kovacs is a chain-smoking space noir rebel soldier turned private detective who's recently woken up from being asleep or "put on ice" in prison for 250 years. in his world, human consciousnesses are placed into hard drive disks called "stacks" which can be taken out of human bodies referred to as "sleeves", so his mind's been placed in a number of different bodies over the years, currently in one that's on loan and definitely not his own. having lost a lot of friends and family over the years, he's developed a bit of a jaded attitude towards things and initial impressions make him appear fairly intimating and a bit of an asshole, but he actually tends to keep a look out for good people and takes care of them if he can, but won't hesitate to be a prick to those who deserve it in kind. here's a link to his app for more information about his world and what he's like.
REGRET: his regret is to prevent the battle of stronghold which ultimately killed all the envoys (except himself) to save clara oswald's life. back in november, he made a deal with the orb to change his regret, and in exchange he'll lose a significant memory of his life at the beginning of each month.
CR WISHLIST: looking for just about anything! he very greatly appreciates honest people and will easily dislike those that are obsessively putting up fronts and tend to be manipulative. he's especially drawn very heavily towards big acts of loyalty, so he might more easily like those that give that impression. smug, rich folk really put him off. he might seem easily annoyed by talkative and enthusiastic people, but he warms up to them with time. would also love for him to bond with other fellow "immortals" and long-living people!
RECAP: kovacs ended up in taeum, aka the "heaven" side, of the previous mission, where turning into a picture perfect version of himself caused him to momentarily look like his original body for a few weeks. considering how confusing this might have been, he addressed the network on his return to the station to clarify the way things work in his own world. nearing the end of the mission, he took part in a stealth mission that was originally an attempt to steal the orb, only for it to end up being a fight after the highest one's secondhand, v'rizz. landing the hit that ultimately killed v'rizz, kovacs' return to the station has had him considering many things — including the way he's gotten his hands dirty continuously with no remorse and what will be left as he continues to lose more of his memories (while also battling the inner conflict that his slowburn feelings for marta may not be entirely platonic).

long story short, the doctor is an alien from a planet called gallifrey. he's called a time lord, so named for his ability to travel backwards and forwards through time (and space), and is ~sensitive to time anomalies and the like. his kind also have the ability to 'regenerate', so they live for a very, very long time.

this doctor (not his real name) is in his "eleventh" regeneration (bit complicated, but we're not gonna get into it unless it comes up in threads!) and has the exuberance and infinite energy of a ... 12 year old, but it's fine. he's got two hearts (true) and twenty-seven brains (probably not true), and is incredibly amiable, quick to jump into literally any situation, and is, in his words: here to help. however, because he's now about 2,100 years old, he's been doing this for a very long time. sometimes this shows. sometimes he'll redouble his efforts not to let it show. but generally he's here for a good time — and to undo his regret.

REGRET:

speaking of! his greatest regret hasn't changed even after his canon update. being so attached to the ponds, he still fully blames himself for their incredibly unfair deaths. he doesn't want to erase their relationship, of course, but he'll want to bring them back and give them the life that was robbed from them. (and a part of him really doesn't think any of this is possible either, so. you know.)

RECAP:

five missions completed with about 85-90% success! (a couple of planets were left in less than awesome shape) this last one was a bit of a doozy, and came right at the cusp of the doctor getting a reset. he's between being regenerated and being reset so he had a little bit of an existential moment.

he's really started to develop a circle of close friends and people he'll regularly check up on, which is great! i'm super happy with that! but one of those people (a certain nerdy doctor newton geiszler) is starting to worry him ... and he has no idea why. hmmm. also there were four attempts on his life last mission! and he has no idea who could be responsible for that either. 🤔

Bones hit the ground running on arrival last Fall and just never really quit.

The mission before last he nearly died, so last mission's Heaven/Hell escapades turned out to be a bit of a mindfuck and a pretty big breaking point for him, as the orbers were eventually whisked off to the afterlife by an expy of Death. Prior to that, he made himself useful looking after Taeum's children, and coordinated efforts to see those most vulnerable to safety as folks from Sedorum crossed over.

He's freshly returned from a needed canon update, so he's feeling more like himself again! At his core, Bones is most interested in ensuring the orbers are both taken care of, and are taking care of themselves. What a freaking nerd.

He's still Very Set on undoing his regret since he is for HIS PEOPLE, but as always he tries to ensure that he walks a line where he's not making more, worse regrets in the process of undoing this one (of course 2mil dead civvies is HEAVY compared to a lot, so he's willing to give up a bit for that sake!), but also isn't treading too lightly. Just like in canon he has his focuses and his goals and is loyal to them BUT he can bend rules as much as possible in order to Do The Right Thing if something sketchy is up. He has morals!

Edward is an older brother (fifteen years old, Al is fourteen) from 1910s Amestris (basically like their version of Eurpoe sort of deal). Ed is a prodigy in the field of alchemy. Which is to say, he can analyse something, break it down and reconstruct it to something else, as long as it still is within the limits (using the same base materials, law of conservation of mass). He has a temper and always will even if he mellows more as the series goes on some. He's joined in with his military working as a State Alchemist so that he can have access to their restricted documents and research to help his brother (Al lost his body in their attempt to bring back their mother after she got sick and passed away, with Ed binding Al's soul to a suit of armour in the meantime).

He is pretty much that typical bratty smart kid, the jerk with a heart of gold trope underneath his bluster and temper. He's generally more explosive and tries to be more realistic against Al's more optimistic idealism, grounding each other in that sense. Ed just hides his softer side more. Unless Winry is involved. In which case he is the Most Obvious about his feelings that everyone knows and she is used against him as a hostage.

He along the way in figuring a way to help Al, has kinda stumbled into a Plot from the higher ups and their plans for Amestris and what the military has really been up to, and is forbidden to actually talk about it so. That's also a whole thing where he is :l unsure on saying anything much there to others at the Station in fear if any of the homunculi or such show up and kill them for Ed opening up. He's at this point, figured out most of the plot and such and is just. Prevented in being stuck here from getting home to do something about it all. Essentially. In finishing things yet.

REGRET: Basically, regrets what happened to Al when they tried to bring back Trisha. That Al lost his body. So. P much the same as his motivations and regrets back home. Yup. He is the Determinator and he gonna keep his promise to fix things, dammit! Al is the priority. He doesn't so much care about his auto-mail since he gets by with it, but Al needs to eat and sleep and feel again!!

CR WISHLIST:

Friends? Mentor types? People he can get on the wrong side of because he is such a brat? People to get all up in his space about his auto-mail/are able to help with it in general? More of that couldn't hurt without his trusty mechanic here. People to keep an eye on him without Al here as 99% of his impulse control? And with being one of the younger crew members. People to teach him about technology/more modern stuff because 1910s has some basics but not to this sort of level of technology/advancement in general. Sparring partners?

RECAP:

Ed has been here from the very start. So he's been involved in every single mission. He's gradually more accepting that magic is a thing (though still more assumes that it is some form of science he just hasn't figured out yet so much). He still misses Al and Winry a lot - esp Al because they are inseparable back home but also Winry because he doesn't have her here to fix his arm and leg. Not that he. Actually wants her anywhere near this nonsense.

Generally, he's vaguely starting to question how this works, wondering what the catch is for those left dealing with the aftermath of them taking the orbs. Because if it means they are suffering/dying as a result. Well. Ed's not okay with that and knows Al would want to find another way to fix things to get his body back. He's for now still going along with it and helping where he can, at least in supporting locals/fellow orbers so they aren't killed during the missions and such.

He is still sticking to his No Killing thing even with being involved in fighting. He never aims to kill and that has made missions harder on him. Ed is one of the younger among the crew too. He's cool with using his alchemy to make or fix stuff for people if they need/ask. He's joined up with the player project to make protective amulets for the crew when they figure the materials for him to work with too.

RECAP: Clara finds purpose in being the station mom that takes on too much and is always one minor inconvenience away from needing a vacation. She's spent a lot of time trying to find her footing and her place among the other orbers, and has tried a lot of different paths to try and feel useful. She realizes now that she's not the fighting type, and has put all of her focus onto healing/taking care of people. She's been pretty big on forming connections with others, and has had a lot of great CR that has impacted her development. After a relationship with Takeshi Kovacs turned out to be something she wasn't ready for, she had a rocky winter season. But she's come out of it stronger and more aware of what she wants & needs, and is now trying to make an actual life for herself on the Ximilia. She runs a hydroponic garden with the help of others on board, and also often cooks big meals to leave out for anyone that's hungry. I don't have any major plans coming up for her, apart from some eventual big talks with the Doctor related to feelings and her trying her best to help Newt through what he's going through. Her big arc I'm moving into next is more of an emotional journey, with her accepting her death and the fact that this is the last chance she has with the Doctor, and having what life she can here with him. She's not as focused on undoing her regret any longer, but is highly motivated to engage with and succeed on missions in order to stick around the station as long as she possibly can.

- First mission (Gyeongje): Absorbed an orb, helped heal sick people with his new orb powers, fell flat on his face while trying to flirt.
- Second mission (Braccia): Went blind, got better.
- Third mission (Kilnan): Made friends with a castle (yes, a building) and had to explain friendship and marriage to it but thankfully got out of having to explain law and sex. Also discovered that he can sense orbs after the whole absorbing one thing.
- Fourth mission (Badrock): Stopped eating so the others could have his rations during a famine but sustained himself with the Force, made his friends upset anyway.
- Fifth mission (Taeum): Tried to break through God's marble floor and was put in Heaven Jail for his crimes. Couldn't feel the Force for about two weeks because of this and had like several mental breakdowns. He learned a lot such as: being honest about his health, keeping his promises, not doubting that others care about him, watching out for his own safety, maybe don't do a B&E on God perhaps.

ETC: I've got a telepathy opt-out on his permissions (which could use an update) but I always try to ask before he does some crazy mind stuff.

INFO: andy is a 6000+ year old immortal warrior lady who heals from any wound or injury, even ones that kill her. while technically baseline human, her combat skills have been honed in that very long period and she can use virtually any weapon you give her. she is Old and Tired and kind of melancholy about the longevity of her life, but on the flipside she has a whole lot of love to give for her family (and potential friends when they worm their way in). humanity has gotten her a little jaded in the last few decades, despite the good she's done in the world that she is presently too sad about existing to see. she's cagey about herself but enjoys roasting her friends. her favorite things include: baklava and horses, and she comes with a really cool axe.
REGRET: quynh's eternal drowning, her fellow immortal and love of her life: a woman currently stuck in an iron coffin for the last few centuries.
GAME PLANS: my plan is to basically parallel andy's journey in the movie from jaded sad apathetic immortal to give her a new sense of hope in the world/people/etc. her goal is saving quynh and she came in with the priority of doing whatever it takes to get her back, but now she's going and making friends, so i enjoy playing around with how she might compromise that and how it might allow her to open back up to human beings being good actually c: this involves making more! friends! against her better judgment.

RECAP:
andy has been here since mission two, brass devil aka braccia, and overall she has remained fairly untraumatized by the missions despite their awfulness, because she is too old and tired and forcing that disconnect, plus she has seen most of it before at some point in her too long life, she's trying to be blasé as possible.
- aided in the big showdown to get the orb from cheri on braccia, suffered the consequences of being Known in the dream world, and had a gay old time in scorpion's bend, living out her best wild west dreams. she was reckless about killing the bouldersnakes and welford's impending immortal loneliness was Familiar Enough to maybe make her feel a thing. deep down, where she is pretending it doesn't exist.
- was sorted into hell/sedorum for the last mission, spent the whole time complaining that heaven and hell were STUPID concepts and also not real, while in literal hell. she participated in the jailbreak to help save her not!gf and some others, befriending mr. ruvilor and getting the angrial/entr'i love story. then she got to help fight god! that part was fun for her especially.

CR WISHLIST: As always you should buy his book and try his cooking. He will try to be friends with about anyone. He has also been without a room for months and has just not settled anywhere and rested in Tech Storage when he's need to so he could use a roommate.
RECAP: In his first mission, R0-GR turned his arm into a drone. In the second, the drone got disintegrated resulting in lingering pain and an increased desire to get good at fighting. Now that the third mission is over, Roger has begun trying to learn the electrostaff for this purpose, as well as the guitar for an unrelated purpose.

CANON POINT: Season 1, episode 8. No Mourners, after Alina betrayed him and just as he's pulled in to the shadow Fold.

INFO: 500+ year old man who has made a few mistakes in his (unnatural) long life - like enslaving someone or threatening to murder a shit-ton of people. He is the general of the Second Army of Ravka (think Russia, but make it fantasy). He controls shadows, is very powerful and also just a smidgen evil. Has seen his people (the Grisha - people who can do magic except they call it something else) tortured and killed for centuries and is very, very done with it.

He is the antagonist of the story, and while his motivation for keeping his people safe, is understandable, the fact that he is willing to murder everyone else in the world to get that - is not.

REGRET: That he created the Shadow Fold 400 years ago, after the murder of his wife and the betrayal of his tsar (king).

CR WISHLIST: Since just adding 'all the things' is not helpful, how about

positive cr - anyone to show him, slowly, that not all people suck. That there's more to life than suffering and then you die. That sometimes, it's the journey and not the destination that matters. He thinks that most people are dust - they will die soon (compared to his own very long life) and why mourn what is just human nature? Dust doesn't matter, it doesn't inspire more than a snort of disgust. At this point, after almost a year in space, he would still burn everyone and everything to the ground to get his way. I would love to explore him being less like that.

Negative cr - hate him? Want to talk about the grey morality of enslaving a young woman just to get your way? How about 'how many people are you willing to sacrifice to save everyone else?'? Or just hate on him for being a bag of dicks? I am up for all of this!

RECAP: Aleksander has been here since the beginning, fulfilling every last personal goal to find his way back home and undo his regret. Ever mission has been filled with personal drama and heartbreak, and I love that for him.

He does not understand most of earth-customs and at this point, he's not really trying to anymore. Earthlings are strange (and earth girls are easy?)

Mission 1 - killed a lot of monsters, got infected and turned in to a monster himself. Killed guards when they were attacked and growled at a lot of people at the sanctuary. Honorable mention: Was burned across the face by Alina Starkov before the mission really started.

Mission 2 - undercover mission to the magical house, and he went with Daisy as a couple. The beginning of a beautiful friendship with boob-touching started and also stopped since the Darkling was a dick and almost ruined the mission while being busy sticking his tongue in to someone else's mouth. He got poisoned while trying to get to the orb, still made it to the top and along with Alina, helped set the orb-owner on fire. A little. Honorable mention: he found out that seeing in the dark with goggles was a thing.

Mission 3 - Saw a lot of nightmares in Kilnan, too many people got to see his terrible past and there were emotions all over the place. As the orb started to siphon power from the people from the station who had offered it up (and started to attack the group), the Darkling protected Alina as much as he could, accidentally also protecting the princess of the magical palace.

Mission 4 - Scorpion's Bend. He was Gleb / Dick Midnight for most of that and secretly loved it. Solitude, a tent, Alina. What's not to love? Did very little to find the orb, like - the absolute minimum- and was super depressed about the ending for Ford. Very depressed. That was too close to home, for him.

Mission 5 - Upstairs, downstairs. He ended up in hell (Sedorum) and did nothing except fuck around and he didn't even find out. He helped break orbers out of heaven-prison and joined the war on Giva just to get those cool wings and flap around like a big black bird.

local orphan & cartographer gets thrust into a position of power that she never wanted, is considered an Actual Saint by the world, becomes Human Sunbeam. alina comes from fantasy russia (ravka), a country split in two by a dark rift known as the fold, only to discover she's the answer to destroying said rift. alina is ravka's prophesized sun summoner, born with the ability to wield light, on a journey of self-discovery as a result of being pushed into said power, in your archetypal Chosen One story.

alina's relationship status with her role in the world can be summed up as It's Complicated. as for alina herself: she's an outsider who has always felt lonely and ostracized, and recently has a lot of pain and distrust over being used for her power & betrayed by the people she once trusted. she's scrappy and a little guarded, stubborn and strong-willed, while also riddled with self-doubt and a whole heaping of sarcasm. but! she's also incredibly loyal to those she's managed to befriend, compassionate, and tends to be sunshine both literally and figuratively — though some of this is used to cover up her own grief.

at the heart of her story, alina is searching for somewhere she's safe and accepted and belongs, for who she is more than what she is.

(also important to note: has a tendency to be a feral gremlin and reckless idiot.)

REGRET:

being found and captured by kirigan before she could claim the stag's power for herself (and the destruction that occurred in the fold and the lives lost, as a result of her mistakes).

CR WISHLIST:

— despite being a hero type, alina can mesh well with morally grey types when their plights are sympathetic — and can easily be fooled by morally evil/selfish types that hide it well, because of her naivete. always open to corruptive/bad influences that alina is stupidly convinced to trust.

— friends! alina gets on best with other outsiders & misfits. i'm also very invested in building deep cr with these relationships; alina does get along well, but has issues with opening up more deeply to people and a whole shitload of trust issues when it comes to people showing her kindness/sympathy because it's been 1) rare in her life 2) when it wasn't rare, it came with ulterior motives.

alternatively, building up allies as a means of protecting herself.

— i also am open to negative cr, especially when it comes to clashes over ideological differences or forcing characters who don't like one another to team up and start accidentally relating to one another more than they'd like to. which is very niche but!! negative cr is interesting to me in general, but only when there's good reasons for it and the relationship itself has many layers to it. c:

— alina has a tendency to be drawn to mentor figures as well, and she's working on getting stronger, so ?? combatants who can continue to work on her training, other power-wielding people to continue improving on her sun summoning, etc.

— for the most part, though, i prefer organic cr and just sort of seeing where it leads us on its own.

RECAP:

alina has been here since the very first mission, in which she ... spent nearly all of it locked up in a magical prison because she got caught snooping. she helped to defeat cheruvia in the brass devil mission by blasting her with light and then falling through the floor, and continued her reckless streak into the third mission in kilnan by feeding the orb, which had the consequences of her holing up in the infirmary.

also found the princess and mentally adopted her along the way by relating to aureliah's plight too deeply.

during scorpion's bend, alina was a liability due to pulsefire reacting strongly to her status as a lamp. for the most part, she was content to live in her own world and ignore the orb, despite the complex feelings she's stirred up in herself — truthfully, she deeply regrets pulling welford from his illusion after it was made clear he's fated to suffer an eternity alone. welford's fate has triggered a lot of complex feelings she isn't, at the moment, addressing.

in sedorum, alina debated the morality of being sorted into heaven vs hell & the fallout of her own mistakes in trusting the wrong people. additionally, she put her back behind entr'i to start viva la revolution in hell, and was made a commander in the sedorum army. during the final log, she helped to take down v'rizz.

INFO: Ex space pirate thief turned Guardian of the galaxy. Basically, an intergalactic himbo who is generally friendly and easy-going, prone to joking, and occasionally making sarcastic comments. Comes with a ton of mom issues, daddy issues, and in-law issues, as well as his own banging 80s soundtrack.

REGRET: Peter regrets agreeing to go to Knowhere to stop Thanos from obtaining the Reality Stone instead of grabbing Gamora (and the rest of his team) and fucking off to the other end of the galaxy.

Losing to Thanos there led to Gamora being captured, the mad titan sacrificing her to obtain the Soul Stone, and Peter losing his marbles after learning about it. This leads to Peter, blinded by his grief, accidentally ruining the plan to separate Thanos from the Infinity Gauntlet, allowing him to later used it to cause the Snap, wiping out half of the universe.

GAME PLANS: He's trying to learn more about how to use a sword, since he has Gamoras' Godslayer one with him. He also wants to learn more about the orb's origins and how to destroy them, rather than simply focusing on completing the mission or undoing his regret because he knows these things are dangerous and shouldn't exist at all.

CR WISHLIST: Positive, negative, absurd. Please give me anything. Anything romantic is out of the question because he's still very in love and very heartbroken about Gamora. He still jokes and semi flirts and is generally an idiot on occasion because Peter has turned pretending into an art, so expect a lot of that. He is far more depressed than he lets on and misses his team/family like a lost limb.

Peter's roommates also moved out recently so for now he's in a room all by himself with a king sized bed but if anybody wants to room with him, let me know!

RECAP: He's been in game 6 months, aah. After the last two missions and the last conversations with Viveca, he's grown increasingly cynical about the orb and doesn't trust them as far as he could chuck them. Now does he fully trust the AI and Degard, for what matters, and wants to figure out what really happened with the original crew that supposedly went back home.

INFO: billy's a former former cia operative and a former member of the sas and a current vigilante with an intense hatred for superheroes for very personal reasons that he probably won't share. he really doesn't like them and while he will he tolerate them, it will take time for him to trust them.

he's a violent man, aggressive and mean when he wants to be (which is often). he likes guns and bombs and alcohol but he uses that as a shield for everything that he's experienced in his life. again, you ain't gonna get at that very easily.

he can care but he's been burned a lot in his life so he keeps that circle of trust small.

REGRET: that he wasn't able to protect his wife from homelander, vought and from presumably dying at their hands

CR WISHLIST: really, anyone that can tolerate him. he's not the nicest person but he can be a good dude if you don't mind his crassness and lewdness. he has a heart underneath all that bluster. he's just very wary of getting too involved with people. his wife's supposed death and disappearance fucked him up a lot.

with that said, i really do want him to actually talk about becca eventually. i don't think he's mentioned it to anyone and so while some people have gotten the hint that supes were directly responsible for something that happened to him, he hasn't gone into detail and i'd like for him to maybe open up to someone about it.

otherwise, just wanna find billy some friends to hang out with, drink with, maybe fuck around and fight with. but i know negative cr does happen with him too and that's fine! totally down with it.

RECAP: billy's pretty much still doing what he's been doing in that he bums around the station a lot, being loud and annoying. he doesn't sit back and just let things go by him, choosing to participate in the missions as much as he can. he was a preacher during the wild west missions and sheltered people in the church and then recently got his wing blown off during the last mission.

around the station, he pretty much likes the mess hall so he can drink and talk to people or he'll find his way around the place so he doesn't have to stay in his room with his oh so annoying roommate. he will occasionally try and pick a fight just because he can and he's very not trusting of the people in charge but he's too curious to see if they can do what they say they can do.

basically, he's an asshole, admittedly, but he has his moments of being able to care.
