The game is now in its final stretch: the orbs are collected, and the team is close to undoing their regrets — but not before the orbs offer the one last trick up their sleeves.

· THE LOG + PLOTTING

The final station log will be divided into two parts: one part where no adverse orb effects are happening and the team can say goodbyes to each other, and the other part where those affected by two orbs in the Go’ama mission find themselves losing control of their minds.

The characters who have signed up for the effects are:

All of these characters will, after their minds have been affected by one of the two orbs, attempt two things: to hurt or kill other Orbers; and to access the North Wing in order to try and get to the other orbs that are contained there.

Everyone affected will start suffering from the effects 24 to 48 hours after arriving back on station. However, whether the characters are aware that this is happening is up to the players to decide, and you can choose from the following:

1 Your character retains their mind while their body moves without their control

2 Your character experiences blackouts, without remembering what they’ve done while blacked out

3 Your character loses their mind entirely to the control of the orb.

Additionally, in preparation for the final conclusion, we will ask players to submit the following:

1 Any actions affecting the station’s structures, other Orbers (major injuries / deaths, if there are any) or the orbs

2 Ideas for how to stop, contain and dispel the control of the orb for the affected characters

You can submit responses to both of these things HERE. The submissions open March 9 after the log has gone live, and submissions remain open until March 24. Please note that the Orbers will receive help from Viveca and Degar to deal with the corrupted teammates, and they can be asked for help, too.

Additionally, if you have something to add to the endgame vote, or if you want to change your previous vote, you can do so HERE. Everything submitted in the previous ENDGAME VOTING POST will be taken into account for the final conclusion.

Also, to clarify a few things regarding the previous vote: characters are able to remain behind on the station instead of returning to their worlds if they so choose. However, those who return will do so without their memories of their time on the station, and that cannot be changed, not even by Viveca and Degar. Characters would be aware of this prior to the unification of the orbs.

Character: Sherlock Holmes
Canon: Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened (2023)
Will they be corrupted or not?: yes
General plans: I haven't decided how aware he's going to be yet, but oh gosh, he's going to be so easy to subdue. He's a normal, exhausted human. He has a paralyzing fear of water. No joke, you can stick him in a half-filled bathtub, and I feel like his trauma is so strong that it'd shut his mind and body completely.

But maybe you can do him and everyone a favor to just inject him with some sedatives and burrito wrap him in blankets. Make this stupid boy take a nap and leave the orbs to also deal seeing with The Horrors if they continue accessing his mind while he sleeps. (Who wins? An Old One or the Orbs?)

... The most he'll probably be able to do is shoot something/one with his pistol, but he's run himself ragged that anyone can knock the pistol out of his hands and then restrain him.

As for the goodbyes, Sherlock is going home without fixing his regret. He'll be emotional over the fact that his mistaken idea that he'll be returned with time passed isn't true. Even if he forgets all this, maybe he can still solve his case, and he doesn't have to worry about what his absence might have done to his Watson! Not the best outcome because once more, he loses people he cares about, but not the worst outcome either

Will they be corrupted or not?: yep! i'll be going with option 3 for him.
General plans: darth vader will be making an appearance! other than traumatising his castmates he will be available for any and all murder attempts and wanton destruction of the ship.

but for when he hasn't lost his mind, he'll be around. possibly asking for any theories to get around them not remembering any of this. just because everyone is adamant that there's no getting around it doesn't mean it's completely impossible right? he's still planning to go but he's not letting go of the possibility that he can have everything.

General plans:
Oh wow, he gets to be really evil for the first time (shush, trying to murder Newton was justified. Birthday-boy harmed Alina) and I could not be happier!

Let's burn some CR! I'm still undecided if I want him trapped in his mind or have blackouts, but one of those!

I am open to fights, to saying goodbyes to close cr and for general mayhem! Fellow corrupted, let's get busy! Aleks can use the Cut (within reason - I do not want to break the game) and under orb-control, they would know how to use Merzost to create shadow monsters under his control.

Something with Nat, I hope, and shadow fighting with Wuxian.
