MISSION [ A WASTE TO LIVE ] + PLOTTING POST

OVERVIEWOBJECTIVELOCATIONSPERSONS OF INTERESTOOC NOTES

OVERVIEW

Nearly two hundred years ago, Rehil Hahn very nearly destroyed the civilisations of Go’ama. Now, the world is still in a state of post-apocalypse, its mightiest cities reduced to rubble, with the surviving people separated into three clans, each fighting for survival. Magic - here called “the spark” - is strictly forbidden. Those who possess it are exiled to the Plains, a wasteland with no comforts, and plenty of dangers.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the mission is to find the two orbs that are on the planet: the one that was always there, and the one that transferred itself there after the mission in Amaryllis Grove. Viveca has tracked the orbs, and found that one of them is in the only city in Go’ama, called the Roof, while the other is somewhere on the Plains.

For this, the Orbers have been divided into two groups based on skill: one sent to the city for their diplomacy, one to the plains for their resilience. However, due to orb interference, the groups will be switched with one another when landing in Go’ama — this means that while the grouping below is the real grouping for the mission, the characters will believe themselves to be in the opposite group up until they land.

Teams are divided as follows:

Plains Group (that think they are getting sent to the city): Miles Edgeworth, Phoenix Wright, Ryunosuke Naruhodo, Yujin Mikotoba, Shuntaro Chishiya, Yuri Egin, The Doctor, Rita Farr, Ziggy Berman, Nikolai Lantsov, Shinn Asuka, Yzak Jule, Marta Cabrera, Daisy Johnson, Natasha Romanoff, Stephen Strange, Sabriel, Cy Salveo, Gene Hicks, Newton Geiszler, FitzChivalry Farseer, John Watson, Sherlock Holmes, Cal Kestis, Finn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Lúthien Tinúviel, Minimus Ambus, Lan Sizhui, Lan Xichen, Nie Huaisang, Ahsoka Tano

City Group (that think they are getting sent to the plains): Clarke Griffin, Finn Mertens, Jake the Dog, Ryohei Arisu, Takeshi Kovacs, Alucard, Jason Todd, Victor Stone, Alina Starkov, The Darkling, Mal Oretzev, Poison Ivy, Toru Hagakure, Bucky Barnes, Gamora, Peter Quill, Yelena Belova, Murderbot, Itachi Uchiha, Andromache, Sébastien le Livre, Yusuf al-Kaysani, Tony Tony Chopper, Yamato, Joric, Anakin Skywalker, Dean Winchester, The T-800, Vash the Stampede, Wei Wuxian, Prince Arctic, Yennefer of Vengerberg, Noah

LOCATIONS

The Roof is the only city of Go’ama, and only used to full capacity for only four months of the year, when the three clans all gather there to spend the winter months, sheltering from the cold winds and sandstorms. The Roof is built on top of ruins, among fallen statues and broken cobbled streets; the houses are made of stone, strong to endure, and the most important part of each district the city consists of is the well of that district, for water in Go’ama is scarce. For the time that the three clans are “Sharing the Roof”, as it is known, fighting between clans is forbidden.

The Plains, the dark wasteland, stretches from the edge of the Roof to the other end of Go’ama, miles upon miles of nothing but rock, sand and stone. The Plains is a dangerous place, where food fights back and large predators hunt for prey, where sandstorms or thunder might be just as deadly as failing to find water. Despite this, it is not impossible to survive on the Plains — especially if you group together with others banished there. In the middle of the Plains, an obsidian tower stands as a lone landmark; however, there is no entrance into the tower, and no one truly knows its purpose.

PERSONS OF INTEREST
Jial Bryn
The leader of the clan Vo’a Mahdin (the Daughters of Twilight), a clan who live on the outskirts of the Plains, dedicated to hunting the predators and keeping them from spreading to other parts of the land. The Daughters are fierce and loyal to their way of life, and act as enforcers of the rule that the spark must not be used — they are responsible for catching those using it and bringing them to the Roof to be exiled to the Plains. Jial is a direct descendant of the clan’s first chief, her line having won each challenge for leadership.

Lei Bajh
The leader of Sen Reuma (the Stone Circle), the clan who lives under The Roof throughout the year, maintaining the city and ensuring it does not fall to the elements the other eight months of the year. The Stone Circle is also responsible for exiling those using the spark to the Plains, and Lei Bajh is highly regarded not only in the eyes of her own clan members, but also those from the two other clans.

Sorima Laivar
The leader of Gal Masen Dai (the Bright Dawn Soldiers), the clan who inhabit the only forestland of Go’ama, where the limestone that restricts the use of the spark is also mined. Sorima is known as a fair leader, with much experience, having led his clan twice as long as the two other clan chiefs.

Garam
On the Plains, there are some groups formed by those who have managed to survive — the most prominent of the groups is Dai’a Svar, the Soldiers of the Spark, who have gathered together, bound by their belief that magic should be allowed to be used freely. Their leader, Garam, inspires confidence in those who follow him, while his name is used as something to frighten children under the Roof.

OOC NOTES

This mission will span the months of January and February.

TThe team’s main objective is to find the orbs and retrieve them. To do that, they will have to learn where exactly the two orbs are, and who might be in possession of them.

As always, characters are encouraged to share their findings and information through the network, and a mod-provided voting/plotting post will be posted later on in the month to prepare for the second log.

The personal goals have been assigned, and can be found here. If you have any questions about your goal, please ask us here! In the same comment, there are instructions for what to do if you are unhappy with the task your character has received.

Please use this post to plot for the mission and make your own plotting comments. You can use the form below as a guideline:

Please understand that this is only the funniest thing to me, but you missed Hagakure in the group assignments. From the back of the mission briefing room: "Ooooh, Miss Viveca, don't forget me!"

But also question: would Hagakure be assumed to be using magic at all times by the populace, therefore needing to be on the downlow and completely avoid detection? Or would she be forced by Ximilia magic to be visible? Just getting the specifics before I plot. 👀

No worries!

As for if she's noticed as she is, is it safe to assume the locals would chase and attempt to capture said invisible girl for exile? If this is covered in the log, feel free to disregard.
