WISH FULL: voting post + sign-ups
● ● ● SEPTEMBER VOTING POST: MISSION LOG 2
The time has come to reveal some of the upcoming plot developments regarding the second log. Before we get into planning, here is a quick recap of what has been discovered so far:
• The king and the queen are a happy couple, but the queen is stressed with her duties.
• The queen and the princess don’t always see eye to eye on things, and the princess especially has been upset with her mother for a while.
• The hvalus were gone for a long while, and their reason for that seems to have been a sense of chaos.
• The gill fever that plagued the xrisora was healed by someone called the Lightbringer, later discovered to be the wizard Remi d’Arbes from Kilnan.
• The orb was in the palace, in the family museum, but isn’t there anymore. There is no sign of a break-in.
• The queen and the princess had an argument regarding one of the princess’ toys the night before their disappearance.
• A talk with the queen revealed that the princess’ toy pearl was in fact the orb.
• There was a potential sighting of the princess leaving the city on her own on the morning after the gala and swimming towards Irian’s Grotto.
• There is a race called “stone-gazers” that lives in Beliandria Grave. According to the xrisora, they can turn others to stone just by looking at them.

· THE LOG + THE VOTE + THE SIGNUPS
The log itself will follow the events of the first log, with a search for the queen and the princess widening outside of Qruria City borders. The orbers will get to follow where they believe the princess to have gone, towards Irian’s Grotto. The log will center around everything the characters will uncover on their journey to where the princess is.
For the log and the conclusion, we ask everyone to ICly vote on:
• how they intend to get the orb from the princess (assuming she still has it)
• what they intend to do once they have it

Obtaining the orb is entirely contingent on the girl's mindstate + learning what deal is in play and gleaning that detail as it happens - go ahead and piggyback off this for that if u think the telepathy thing is the route to go with ✌

he also thinks once they get the orb it's time to bounce ok, but his Actual Priority is making sure he doesn't hurt a girl's feelings by swiping her toy.

Sabriel suggests they speak with the princess, soothing her worries, and try to understand exactly what deal was made, and find a way to undo it if possible. And if not, help the princess come to terms with that.
And then leave once they get the orb. There's not anything they can fix by sticking around.

BUT- no making deals with the orb to undo anything, no sticking around. Just getting the princess to hand over the orb and they're out of here.
The last time they tried to offer up an exchange to an orb, the orb drained a lot of magic users from the station...

As disappointed as he might be with her though, if they do manage to find her that way, he'd suggest tossing Eleven in to the mix. Because they're close enough in age that he'd hope she could talk her down. He'd push for an emphasis on them keeping calm and reasoning with her. Because even though she flips between emotions pretty easily, she also seemed to be willing to listen to reason too, last time. So hopefully they can get a repeat. He would also suggest they take the Queen Mother with them, given that Xoria is so much closer to "Mia" than anyone else at the palace.
Depending on what she says/what actually happened to the Queen, he'd want to see if there's a way to undo whatever deal she made and return things to how they are. But yet again, this'll be another instance where he'd be strongly against them taking the orb/returning home until they helped fix the damage first.

ETA: McCoy is also against staying unless they are specifically asked to assist/if the team is in favor AND a selected representative of the team asks and is permitted. :T

plus, tracking her down the old-fashioned way seems like the less unpredictable, and safest, bet for them all!
with that said, alina would be willing to try to help undo whatever deal has been made if they can (if remi is still around in this world, she'd suggest asking for his assistance in that). however, similar to bones, she's another one that's against staying for too long after her experiences with overstaying her welcome last mission.

If YES then a divergence of plans would be a best bet - ie people are gonna wanna find the princess because WE ARE NICE LIKE THAT but they can do that while other people follow the orb's lead. But that's only if in some dramatic twist the Princess ended up losing it or someone else has it.
If NOT then let's go talk to that lil girl and see what can be done. Yzak would +1 bringing Queen Mother along and beforehand, see how much she knows about the power of this "wishing pearl." Depending on that, Yzak is personally fine with if they've gotta clarify things to her about the orb to let her know what might have happened here so she understands how uuuuhhh bad this whole situation might actually be.
He's also for not sticking around longer than they need to like last time, but depending on how things go with the Princess and Queen Mother, he would not be averse if the Queen Mother wanted to try and save HER daughter whether she knows about the "orb" or is using the "pearl." Esp since homie is here to make a deal himself before this orb joins with the rest, he can't judge.

Like I said in my initial comment, he wants to make sure the orb is still with the princess via sensing the suppression magic/hvalus vs where Zivi may lead them to make sure it's the same direction. If it's not he'd opt to go in the orb's direction and leave the child to those who are better with children. Hilariously I did have a comment drafted up for an NPC thread, but I figure I didn't wanna be a Fun Hogger, so to let someone else be cute with the princess since my Fun Focus is more on this. That and just in case there was some narrative overlap!
But depending on how log two and the wrap up go, I was planning to put Yzak's focus on finding the orb more than anything else (which he tends to do anyway so that's not new). Right now since we're not 100% sure who has it or who's gonna be where in the end, Yzak's gonna go his usual route of just Working Hard To Find It.
I'm not sure if the suppression magic on it needs to be removed before they can properly Get It, but he'd be willing to help Sabriel remove it AND she does know what his plans are so if it came to that? Otherwise if it's dependant on needing to poke another player to ask if he can be there tagging along for team support to whatever to Be There, I'll for sure do that and hash things out with them. Or even when they get back to the station but before Degar goes to toss it into the north wing he can be like "hold up one sec."
Basically since we dunno what the big twists or ends are yet I'm here being unsure of a solid plan BUT flexible since thankfully I can be with this clown. BUT if there's anything else specific you need from me or need me to do (or type out or whatnot) I'm more than happy to! Be it here or on the mod contact post or in DM. Hopefully this comment is useful at all for what you're asking I'm trying to cover any possible bases! 💞

In order to work this player plot into the conclusion, we ask that you give us one solid plan of action for Yzak to make his deal with the orb. As it is your plot, it is up to you what he does — we will take his actions into account when writing the conclusion, but we will not choose his actions.
If you want him to work together with another character on this, let us know that as well when you let us know what he aims to do.

So he'll follow up on that, sticking close to that area but keeping his distance until Sabriel and Minimus talk her down and get her out of there and back to Xemaine to figure out what to do. He IS there to help Xoria afterall, too, so is fine with escorting them back to where the team is since Sabriel and Minimus branched off.
As he'll be with them/close to them when they ... do whatever they do with the porb (pearl orb ... orbearl?) assuming the mission will end, happily or not!, with Xoria, Xemaine and Xephia(???) handing the orb over, as it still may have Remi's suppression magic on it, Sabriel will probably want to check it briefly before they go back/possibly remove it? So Yzak can not only help with that, but once that's in the clear/settled Sabriel will give him the goahead he will just.
Touch porb to get that deal goin. Maybe they can do it together even, so Sabriel can actually hang onto it after the fact. Since that'll get'em back to the station and once they are back, by that time he'll probably be done and just, ya know, be laid out minus an arm (and some life but nobody can see that) on the transporter floor. Surprise, etc.

he’s also a skilled tracker who finds a sea monster in open water, can find anything with a heartbeat if he knows what to look for, so he’d volunteer the traditional route with the sea dragon’s help.
he’d want to talk to the princess and reassure her it’s okay. and also if she’s interested in a trade between the orb and the sea pig to undo her wish, well, it needs a good home since the orbers won’t be staying.
mal’s also not for staying to help long. just advising how the people can do so themselves.
