A WASTE TO LIVE: VOTING POST FOR THE CONCLUSION
● ● ● A WASTE TO LIVE: VOTING POST FOR THE CONCLUSION
The time has come for the team to decide how they wish to proceed through the conclusion of the mission. As a refresher, this is what is known to the characters prior to the conclusion:
• the Dai'a Svar are aware that the spark is draining on the planet's life force, but will persist in using it regardless
• Kovacs has recovered the orb native to this planet after the death of Kal Chomai
• the orb from Amaryllis Grove continues to masquerade as Jial Bryn, who is currently in the Dome in the Roof
• something, or someone, is able to nullify the effect of the limestone on powers, as evidenced by it no longer working on the city walls
· THE VOTE
For this mission, the team can decide on two things, and each character gets one vote to either suggest a solution or +1 one suggestion of their choice.
For the vote, your character has to decide on:
1 How will the crew obtain the Jial Bryn orb?
2 Will they do anything regarding the fight between the Dai'a Svar and the people in the city?
Voting ends February 25. The conclusion goes live February 28, when characters will return to the station.

Others can then comment around and +1 the suggestion their character would agree with, and provide additional details if needed.

Potentially Apprehending
She will try to use the blobtastic powers she inherited from Rita to either wrap around Jial or grow larger in size (or at least grow her hands in size) to try and literally grab Jial for the others.
Whatever the other, older folks in the crew choose, she'll readily gravitate towards instead, but whatever the choice she is absolutely here to try and buy them all time to do it with these newfound powers she's got -- albeit clumsily.
+1
However, if she sees Jial is harming Orbers or innocent people she’ll try to get them out of harms way.
+1
he still has his normal powers so he could potentially assist with keeping her still. alternatively he also has a laser sword to slice off body parts if it ends up being more difficult.
+1
He didn't power swap, so he's got his Charter Magic to offer in terms of defense for the team/innocents, and can do things like binding magic to buy even a few seconds. Also general Coordinator speed/strength/reflexes are at play and he's got a knife and a GUN 🔫 that he isn't afraid to use
+1
If she is, however, she will absolutely try to help apprehend/fight Jial, especially if no other plans work in trying to get back the orb.
+1 Apprehend or just have someone grab the Orb
However, Sherlock's completely in the wrong area and concentrated on the Tower to truly know the situation, so all he can do is wish people luck.
+1 here and also +1 Sherlock’s suggestion
He also has a gun he will use (nonlethally) to protect himself

Team 'Not My Jursidiction' + Attempting to Limit Fatalities
(At some point he'll already be down -1 arm, but he can still shoot with the other, okay.)

Unless convinced that this is a bad idea and/or someone with a better chance of winning a fight against Garam volunteers, he will show up ten hours late without Starbucks and pick this fight himself.

- Show up late because he had to hike over after being knocked out, grab some non-wall limestone (one or two pairs of handcuffs, and also just some small shards), and fight his way over to wherever Garam is.
- Pick a fight with Garam, while shouting passionately about how yes he knows Garam and his people have suffered, but that doesn't give them the right to make other people suffer and just start the whole cycle over again.
- In terms of an actual fight, Shinn's goal will be to tag Garam with limestone and then incapacitate -- although he'll kill if incapacitation isn't feasible. Shinn has peak-human reflexes and is great at dodging while getting up close to a target, and he'll chuck the limestone shards at Garam to try to disrupt spark-using attacks. In terms of offense/defense, he'll start out with a knife until he he's pressed, at which point he'll also pull out a pistol because, screw it, if the Dai'a Svar want to take a war to another world then they should know that other worlds have invented firearms; he's good but not at a "studied this my whole life and am a genius" level, so defer to mod discretion on how successful any of this is.

She might make some snide remarks about how they could also ask the plants how they feel about things, but not in a mean spirited way.

He's also unsure about the Orber's role in this beyond retrieving the Amaryllis Grove Orb because this is a conflict that existed before the Orb arrived. He's learned some things from Cordona.
