The time has come to reveal some things about the second log. Before we get into planning, here is a quick recap of what has been discovered and shared:

• It is rumoured that the High Queen Lloria left means for her daughter to follow her to Dracness.

• The way magic is acquired is through a deadly illness which few survive.

• It is possible that Lady Catryn Spiertower is paranoid about the Kalain descendents still living.

• The High Queens were once protected by a beast, however that knowledge has since been forgotten.

• The beasts in question were dragons, and Dracness is their nesting island.

• Lloria took an artifact called Zefira's Gem with her when she escaped.

• The twin captains of the Hawking possess a map with a riddle inscribed on it.

• There are two girls, Hivin and Cian, the first aboard the Blue Dawn, who can help the orbers find Dracness.

• Cian was found aboard the Silent Plunder and has since defected to the Blue Dawn with Andy.

• The Hawking's captains currently work for Lady Spiertower in trying to find Dracness for her.

· THE LOG + THE VOTE

The second log will begin with Cian and Hivin being reunited, and helping the Blue Dawn find Dracness. It will include further exploration of the island itself, and the focused search for the orb. Possible altercations amongst the three crews may occur as all three ships will attempt to make their way there. How this will be handled will be detailed within the second log.

There will also be a combination of sign-ups regarding the orb and furthering the mission's plot. You can sign up for an NPC thread HERE or sign-up for an attempt to acquire the orb HERE.

• NPC threads may be actual interactions, or they may be summarized like a search request.
• You can only sign up for either an NPC thread OR the orb thread, but NOT BOTH.

The team will also need to vote on the following below. Each character gets one vote to either suggest a solution or +1 one suggestion of their choice.

What will your character do once your crew makes it to Dracness? Will you help your crew? Will you go against them? Will you strike it out on your own, or something else entirely?

Please write your suggestions as comments under the right heading, or +1 other characters' suggestions by responding to their comment. Remember you can only make suggestions on what your character is doing; if your comment includes the actions of other characters, they must confirm their participation with a comment.

If your character would ICly add something to a suggestion (offer magic, stealth, protection over someone or something, etc.) please also detail this in your comment as well as it will help colour the trajectory of the second log.

The vote will be open until AUGUST 30, 6PM GMT. You only have one vote per question, but if you end up wanting to vote for something else or edit your vote, you can do so until the voting closes.

andy is now attached to cian and this will presumably extend to hivin, so she'll be watching their backs closely, especially if word starts to get around about the girls/their quest for the dracness. she will human shield for them if necessary, and use her other miscellaneous fighting skills to keep them safe. her connection to cian opens up a channel for andy to speak to her about the nature of the orb and that she has a means to get it away from this world, via herself and friends that are also with them on board the blue dawn and elsewhere. she wouldn't attempt to speak to her super publicly about this.

re cian & hivin, it's less about restoring the monarchy (if that pops up) and more about keeping them safe!! team protect the sisters. she might feel more loyal to cian (+hivin by association and her fellow orbers, of course), but she did defect to the blue dawn and so will try to foster collaboration with the rest of the lady crew rather than allowing it to seem like she's trying to strike out on her own with cian. if need be she'd offer lai an abridged version of the orb's dangers too, since the woman will know she's being honest. TEAMWORK makes the dream work!!
