Having spent so much of his time here volunteering with support organisations and meeting Naephus' powered people and their families, Stephen's going to vote to stay for a limited period decided by the group, and will advocate for the crew to view staying as a collective effort to buy Ndierans time to figure out for themselves what powers-based possibilities there are for a healing effort amongst their population.

The removal of ghost matter from the atmosphere will have just freed up at least three planets' worth of previously inhibited powered people, perhaps even more if people from outside the complex are willing and able to travel in. Rather than placing responsibility on a handful of the crew to cure an entire ailing population of the ghost matter afflicted, he'll impress that the true value of staying behind is to collectively hold a few days to two weeks of space for the people of Ndiera to come up with a plan that they can execute even after the Orbers have gone with the orb. Or, even failing any wider organised effort, for individuals who have regained the power to save their loved ones to be given the time to do so.

He understands it's potentially a dangerous choice so he's in favour of limiting the time as per the crew's comfort and intends to use his magic to help protect vulnerable crew members if they do stay, as well as planning to help powered support groups organise to assist in the healing effort if they're receptive to his involvement.
