MISSION ghost girl: vote
● ● ● GHOST GIRL MISSION: VOTE FOR THE SECOND LOG
Hello orbers!
The time has come to vote for what is going to happen in the second log. Note that this is an IC vote — so whatever you vote for has to be what your character would ICly want to do.
Before we get into the vote, here’s a quick recap of what has been found out so far:
• The monsters have been found to be infected citizens from the plague six months ago.
• The Ghost Girl is a former citizen of the outer district called So-Yeon who has stolen an object called The Golden Eye from the palace and is using its powers to help the infected.
• According to So-Yeon, the rulers used the Golden Eye out of greed and caused the plague as a result.
• The Lord has traveling clothes and false identity papers tucked away, while the Lady has hidden unsent letters of condolences to the families, offering them any compensation they want.
• The orbers have a resistance to the infection and will not mutate as quickly as the locals, and Finn’s Golden-Eye-boosted blood has been able to reverse the infection temporarily, and spells against magical corruption help as well. Neither is a long-term solution, but it shows that a cure is possible.

We have divided the vote into two categories: the vote itself, and character actions. There are two questions under both categories, and in each of these, everyone gets one vote to +1 one suggestion of their choice.
For the vote, this is what your character has to choose:
1 How to get the orb
2 What to do with the Lord and Lady
For the character actions, we are asking what your characters are going to do about:
3 Finding a cure for the infected
4 Helping to get the team’s infected members to Yuryeong
We have provided you with some ready-made options, but everyone can also make their own suggestions. This means that if your character wouldn’t choose anything that has already been suggested, you can simply write what your character would do.
When you make your suggestions, please make sure that no one else has already suggested roughly the same thing. If this happens, you can +1 that suggestion and then add your own details. You can see an example of that here.
The vote is open until July 25, 6PM GMT, after which the mods will count the votes and announce the results in a plotting post for the second log. You only have one vote per question, but if you end up wanting to vote for something else or edit your vote, you can do so until the voting closes.
Note that the vote doesn’t mean that only one option will be chosen — depending on how the votes are divided, the second log may feature elements of a couple of the highest-voted options. The mods may also ask follow-up questions for some courses of action after the voting closes.
And finally, remember that the events in the second log and the conclusion of this mission depend entirely on what you suggest and how you vote! So if you suggest something, be prepared to actually have your character do that in the second log. :) The second log (going live on August 1) will have chances for you to play out your suggestions / ideas, while the conclusion of the mission (posted on August 14) will reveal just how everything ends before the team returns to the station.
Happy voting!

4) HOW TO GET TO YURYEONG
a. Is your character infected or not, and are they going to Yuryeong or staying in the palace?
b. How are you going to get the infected characters out of the infirmary and into safety?
You can answer below with what your character is doing, and again others doing the same can +1 that comment.
Syrlya | Not Infected/Going to Yuryeong
Currently: Syrlya as of Finn + San's post is doing recon through the halls to find the infirmary door, and the closest escape tunnels the servants use. Because Syr has invisibility spells he's largely using that to stalk around, and ideally get a path mapped out for everyone to use to run for it. He has, thanks to a woodcutter, been into the woods to the shrine so he has an idea how to cut through the city as well.
This, of course, is something he'll want/need to coordinate with anyone else reconing and anyone infected.
As for the actual breakout: Syr can stealth multiple people but no more than a handful, so the amount of infected are beyond his abilities. He does have the ability to make portals people can go through, but requires him to make it from point A to point B first so it's not the most reliable when they're all trying to run like the dickens. If using the portal to bridge any of the escape route he'd need to coordinate in advance with anyone actually busting the crew out. He doesn't have explosives, exactly, so if there's other characters better equipped to take down the door itself he can be on escape lookout.
He also has some magic that allowed less harmful crowd control to slow down pursuing guards without permanently crippling or killing them, since that will probably be a thing.
Obviously this means he's going to Yuryeong because he's probably not at all welcome in the palace after helping break out the infected ahaHA.

INFECTED / going to Yuryeong
Not Infected / Will probably stay
she also (reluctantly) wants to be part of sticking around the palace to continue trying to charm/manipulate/talk with them to get the deets to share with everyone that's in Yuryeong.

Re: +1
not infected, staying
Also if they end up needed to round up the royals for a trial, he'll be right there to hold onto them.
Kirigan / Infected
b He still has the ability to summon shadows. He will get out like this. Slaying 8 soldiers at once with the Cut. He can get through one door.

b) From inside the infirmary, Jim has been watching the guards for their rotations, how many of them there are and how armed they are. He's also studying various escape routes and how complex the locks might be, so that they might be able to unlock them from within. His objective is to find a way out causing as little violence as possible; if it comes down to a fight, he will definitely try to protect any of the locals who aren't armed or fighting, so basically anyone who might be there just to tend to them (servants, healers, nurses, etc.)
EDIT: As per Newton's idea, he'll suggest to the other infected that they team up and work together to knock out the guards and tie them up or w/e and then break out from within.

Not Infection | Erik Stevens
b) He's going to be utilizing his golden jaguar suit which allows him a suitable amount of shielding from weapons and lets him use concussive blasts. Which makes him an excellent shield for locals/the team going through and will probably just help ferry people from Point A to Point B with minimal casualties. So if anyone needs a bodyguard, he'll play the part.
Not really his style, but it's the smart option.
Newton Geiszler | Not Infected/Going to Yuryeong
Viva la monster revolution. He feels relatively useless in helping get people out, so he'll leave that to the more battle-ready folks...!
Yzak Jule | Not Infected | Staying at Palace
And since we've got people working on getting the infected out and focusing on that area, Yzak is going to continue to use his sneaky boi mode to keep tabs around the throne area because once the knowledge starts to spread about the infected getting out and things starts to escalate, he wants to see what the royals do, especially since the Lord seems ready to get out of dodge and he doesn't want THAT to happen before this gets settled.
