MISSION [ wish full ] + plotting post
Qruria City is one of the many kingdoms in the underwater planet Xrisora, a flourishing city that boasts of its stunning architecture and the varying flora and fauna that surround it on the ocean floor. The xrisora, the mer-people of the planet, come in varying forms and live in a matriarchal society — Qruria City is ruled by Queen Xephia, and she and the entire royal family are well-loved by the citizens.
The traditional Caerulea Festival is just around the corner, and many xrisora from other underwater cities are arriving in Qruria to celebrate the time of year when light from the surface reaches the ocean floor.
The team’s objective is to find the orb. Viveca has traced it to Qruria City, but the team must find where it is.
In order to blend in and survive the underwater planet, Viveca and Degar equip the team with spells that change their appearance to mimic that of the natives and thus will allow them to swim and breathe underwater.
In the deepest depths of the ocean, where no land-lover without a pair of ocean-legs dares to go, there is a city called Qruria that spans across the large sand bed. With tall twisted towers carved and created from sedimentary rock, and the brightly coloured flora that can be found draped over these structures like a living blanket, Qruria boasts a proud and diverse metropolis that is a beauty to behold. Both wild and tamed fauna alike swim to and from the crevices and nestled shelters, adding to an active population of merpeople and creatures (both humanoid and not).
Past the market-places and residential neighbourhoods, the farmland and the entertainment sectors, the palace of Qruria stands at attention, carefully watching her subjects from spires that stretch towards the water’s surface, glowing with bioluminescent-powered lamps. At night, from the city’s streets, one might look up and think they look like stars.
QUEEN XEPHIA
The queen has ruled the city for fifteen years and has been as well-loved as the Queen Mother was before her. Her fair judgment and the kindness with which she listens to her subjects has made many xrisora from other cities migrate to Qruria City. She’s only ever known to raise her voice with her unruly daughter, in the hopes of raising her to be a good queen one day.●
KING KROLIS
The king supports his wife in her day-to-day duties and oversees the hunts and harvests that keep the citizens well-fed. He may look intimidating, but those who know him speak to his mild manner and calm disposition. It is well-known that he adores both his wife and his daughter — some might say to the point of never saying no to anything his wife suggests, and spoiling his daughter.

PRINCESS XORIA
The princess turns eleven years old this year, and though she can be absolutely charming and winsome (usually when wanting something), she is very strong-minded, stubborn and quick-tempered… the opposite of her parents in many ways.

THE QUEEN MOTHER
Xemiane was ruler of Qruria for 78 years before Xephia’s coronation. Though rarely in the public eye these days, she was known for her bold and brash personality that could easily captivate and command any room she entered. Those who were around for Xemiane’s rule have little worry that Princess Xoria, who lately has been taking more and more after her grandmother, will do just fine when it comes time for her own reign.

LEVI(ATHAN)
A funky little guy of questionable origins. No one really knows where Levi came from or what he's really all about, but he provides harmless (usually…) fun and often generous rewards for those who take on quests down at Levi's Deep Jingle Pocket Emporium. Why not come down and see what sort of adventures and wares he has for you today?
The mission spans the months of August and September, and characters will return to the station in mid-September.
The team’s main objective is to find the orb and retrieve it. To do that, they have to find out where exactly it is in the city, whether it is being used, and if it is, somehow get the current owner to hand it over to them.
Alongside the log, there are quests that the characters can take on to receive different rewards. The quests will have their own header for claiming and submitting completed quests, and the quests themselves can be threaded out as part of the log.
In order to blend in with the locals, the characters will take on features similar to those of the natives. As the natives look very different — some with tails like more classic-looking mermaids, some with legs and tails, some with just legs but fins on their hands/back/legs, and some with also their facial features or hands/legs mimicking those of the species of fish they are — there can be a lot of variety when planning your character’s changes.
Characters are encouraged to share information through the network, and a mod-provided plotting/voting post will be posted later on in the mission to plan for events in the second log.

Character: Edward Elric
Personal task: Secret - Tell a teammate a secret no one else knows about you.
I'm debating on this being like. His feelings for Winry (which lol Everyone Knows anyway because plz, the least subtle.) Or maybe confiding in someone about stuff back home ala Hohenheim/Father/the homunculi and all? idk yet. But def while he has Daddy Issues, it's. Become more complicated since he reunited and punched Hohenheim in the face, finding out about the truth/past as to just why he walked out on them.
General plans for the mission: Ed is probably gonna flip. Mostly because initially like. Water. Means drowning with his auto-mail but he will be transformed here so no need to worry about that. Or Winry Killing Him for messing with his arm/leg. He has not been swimming in years for obvious auto-mail related weight reasons so. This is gonna be interesting in figuring out. Other than that I don't really got anything yet?? but prob recklessly exploring places he shouldn't because that is what he does (ala Ariel with the shipwrecks or heading to the surface)??
Changes: I'm thinking something like this with the red. It is his thing/colour after all.
CR: I'm game for more cr with his usual circle. But if anyone wants to poke at me for something and we don't thread so often/haven't yet, I'm still down. I'm not that fussed. Give him older sib cr type feels, cr to encourage his recklessness and gremlin side, cr to make him show any sort of restrain (Al is alas, not here to do it...whatever people want or think might go down with Ed. Someone to Mother at him or try Dad at him idk. But I am well aware he is one of the younger orbers.
