THE FOX AND THE HARE: plotting post 2 + voting + sign-ups
● ● ● JULY PLOTTING POST: MISSION LOG 2
The time has come to reveal some of the upcoming plot developments regarding the second log. Before we get into planning, here is a quick recap of what has been discovered so far:
• E-23b is Viveca’s homeworld, and Viveca herself used to be a member of the Fables, codename Fox. She is the daughter of the mayor and Alexandra Reman, who is now in one of the labour camps.
• The Fables collect supplies that seem to be aimed for humanitary aid.
• The Seventh Circle consists of four different labour camps, which are heavily guarded.
• The people in the labour camps wear collars that explode if they try to escape. Attempts are being made to neutralise the collars.
• A member of the Fables called the Lion has been recruiting new members by speaking to a variety of the Orbers.
• Yvonne is suspected to be the absentee Wolf, and owns a variety of weaponry.
• Both Alexandra and Callan have asserted that the Fables don’t have the orb, and Alexandra doesn’t believe the mayor to have it either.
• The original site of the earthquake that began the disease that infected the water is in one of the camps in the Seventh Circle.
• The Fables headquarters is underground, in an abandoned metro station. The Fables seem to be collecting different supplies and building means of transport.
• The original mission file has the wrong location for the orb: instead, it is in one of the camps. Furthermore, the infection in the water is not natural.

· THE LOG
The events of the second log follow directly from what the characters have already learned. While we will not detail everything here, these are the points that affect character decisions.
The characters who received either the words “go to where animals go to rest” from the Lion, or another similar instruction (everyone involved in these search requests) are expected to head to the Den in the Fourth Circle at some point following their meeting with a member of the Fables. In the Den, after ordering a drink and paying, they will receive a receipt from Yvonne, and on it they will find a date and time. If they come to the Den at that exact time, they’ll find there’s an exclusive gathering of people there — everyone called in by the Fables. Due to his job, Dean is present here as well.
Yvonne will lead them down to the bar’s basement, from where they can access the underground network and find themselves at the Fables HQ. There, they can meet Ziggy and get the briefing for what the Fables are planning: in a week’s time, they will launch a cyber attack on the camps’ security. Their ultimate goal is to temporarily lock the guards in their towers and take over the camps, changing the security so that no guards or government officials can access them. That way, they believe they will save both the people and the resources.
Callan explains that they need people in four different tasks:
• Infiltration. There is a parliamentary meeting in the Chacier House as the blackout falls, and some people will need to infiltrate the meeting and then sneak away in the chaos, to find their way to where they can access the files.
• Lookout duty. While the aim is to lock the guards in the towers they stay at, some breaking out is always a possibility, and so some are required to stay near the towers in the Seventh Circle and make sure the guards can’t make their way to the camps.
• Camp reinforcements. A major part of the plan is getting into the camps themselves, neutralising the people loyal to the government and helping the people there.
As the Orbers being from different worlds is known to some of the Fables, they are told they can involve their team members in this, and so those in the meeting with the Fables can share the information with others and recruit them to different tasks.
· THE OOC SIGNUPS
For the purposes of putting together the log, much depends on who goes where and what skillset those people have. This is why we ask everyone to inform us which group their character will be a part of and how they intend to help that particular task force. This will ICly affect the log and the conclusion. The vote is HERE and it will close on July 2, 6PM GMT. We ask that everyone pick one group to sign up for — though in the log itself, if your character has teleportation powers or other means of quick transport, you’re free to have them participate in multiple groups.
There is also another vote, this time regarding the orb. We ask you to tell us ICly what your character thinks of:
• how they should get it
• what they should do once they get it.
The vote is HERE, and it will open at the same time as the log goes live.
Finally, there are 2 slots for NPC threads in this log. The slots will be RNG’d. If you would like for a chance to thread with an NPC, please submit your response HERE by July 5, 6PM GMT.

If mods feel there are proper materials available for success, these tools in theory should work by scrambling the proper trigger/switches in the collars that cause the explosion in the first place. Always up for extra hands/minds if anyone's interested in this area. Or just, like. Bring Newton some caffeine patches for the all-nighters he'll be pulling.
He'll bring these devices with him to the camps (pending they're okayed), as he plans on focusing his actual aid there instead of the other stuff he's less helpful in.
(EDITED NOTE: if the collars can be disabled from a distance and all at once via hacking, Newton can also attempt that if it's a better solution; Clara is open to helping on her end in the hacking department. But if long-distance disabling isn't possible or has been tried/failed before, disregard this note!)
+1 collar removal support aid
His main purpose, though, will be once Newt begins disabling the collars on the prisoners. Considering all the work and experimentation that they've gone through, it's inevitable that many may find themselves weakened from the physical turmoil on their bodies and from being overworked. Once collars are removed, Kovacs will be lifting and carrying any prisoners incapable of moving themselves too well, aiding to take them to any safety points where other Fables might be ready to transport them away.
He's also plenty capable of "leading a charge", instructing other members of either the Fables or Orbers to help him in carrying people, directing them where to go, while being firm in staying focused on the task at hand and their immediate priority — saving the prisoners.
+1 collar removal

Beyond that, she's definitely best suited to being in the middle of it and helping the people in the camps. She can take it somewhat personally when people are being used, so she won't have any trouble neutralizing anyone who needs neutralizing.
