She's always loved her home, and the ideals it embodied. It's part of what he loved about her ever since he realized it. She can choose Orb first; it doesn't mean she won't have anything else come after. She isn't the type to abandon her family, or her friends, and if he can still be counted among them then that's plenty.

He'd been angry, frustrated, fearful of all his mistakes, that he'd realized it too late and lost it all. As usual, Cagalli is grounding. He doesn't know what they're meant to do going forward, either, but in this moment it's so easy to settle against her, wind an arm around her shoulders, and nod.]
