[Yelena doesn’t answer right away. She could play it cool and be cagey about it. But that’s more Natasha’s thing than Yelena’s. Besides between her outburst and her distinctive Russian accent, it’s obvious enough why she’s upset, or who she’s upset about. There isn’t a lot of point in denying it.

When she finally speaks she doesn’t look at him, she’s focused on the coffee maker. Poking at it to turn it on, and then opening the canister of coffee she found in the pantry.]

[Her tone is flat, and if he’s going to speak in present tense, so will she. Natasha being dead didn’t make her any less Yelena's sister. And besides, it makes denial easier and she isn’t in a hurry to grieve any more openly in front of Tony Stark than she already had.]
