( if he's going to be so easy to bully, he should just accept that people are going to bully him. jason would have kept it up, except he's busy holding the door as shut as possible, shoulder pressed against it and heels shoving against the ground to keep it there. he's reaching back behind him for his combat knife, ready to start stabbing the hell out of the branch arm because it's trying to claw at him and he doesn't feel like getting yanked around by whatever the hell this is right now.
but his partner in crime manages to kick himself into gear quick enough, sword slashing through the branch-arm and jason's wincing as it screeches. he's shoving on the door still, and the moment the creature pulls back enough, the door's slamming shut on it, trapping it back inside it's. . room. whatever was in there. jason doesn't know, he doesn't want to stick around to find out.
jason's weight keeps pressed against the door for another few moments, until he's fairly positive the thing isn't going to try and burst out through it--and then he's pulling himself back upright. whistles soft. )
