Name: Em
Character: Jake the Dog Human (he is back, baby - like he never left!)
Personal task: Obey a teammate's every command for 24 hours.

Jake cares absolutely zero about completing his personal goals. Living with your regrets is kind of his personal philosophy... which begs the question, WHY ARE YOU HERE? I'm thinking this might be a good opportunity to dig into that question, maybe over the process of generally discussing goals generally? He has an answer, but not one he's ever talked about aloud. Food for thought!

Crew: The Silent Plunder, SCOURGE OF THE SKYS BABYYYY
General plans for the mission:
turns the pirates of the caribbean soundtrack to max. who else is freaking excited for this mission. Gonna split this up into categories and randomly bold a few sentences to try and make it easier to read:
GENERAL VIBE: Jake was a very prolific thief in his younger days. He headed up a gang of his own and knows how to throw his weight around and get his hands dirty. Expect immediate crew-loyalty setting in a la Color War at camp. Y'all drool, Edil Hamm rules. Also, expect a lot of really immature jokes on their ship's name. The Silent Thunder is right there mods, you shouldn't give him this kind of low hanging fruit to bite).

PIRATE MORALITY? Hanging out with a bunch of ne'er-do-wells is right up his alley and he will definitely getting a little too into it, both in a comedic sense and a less funny sense. Jake is the kind of person who has to choose to be good every day and defy their more natural inclinations towards hedonistic desire (counteracting that is why he got into Buddhism). Giving into that in a roleplaying-for-the-mission context might start to blur the moral line in ways that go beyond pure roleplaying, and I am HERE for consequences of that. Be they corruption of others, being called out, or just meaty talks on the subject.

APPEARANCE: Jake will be human again for this mission, which I'm interested in exploring further! He only had to be human for a little under a week in Ankata, and was very compelled by the novelty. Two months as a human is going to start feeling weird fast. I would love to play with the growing malaise of human anatomical limitations + discovery of human anatomical improvements (i.e. your noses suck hard, but the colors y'all can see is pretty amazing, along with weightier observations).

BACKSTORY: I would love to link up on backstories with someone and build a fun narrative for our characters to roleplay together. If left to his own devices, Jake will probably just use his own actual criminal background with some setting-specific tweaks. Substitute 'stealing bikes/mugging sweet old ladies/robbing banks/running cons' with 'smuggler/pickpocket/plunderer/fraudster'.

MISSION STRATS: In true Treasure Island/Planet fashion, Jake is going to attempt to get hired to the Plunder's crew as the ship's cook. If that position is taken, he'll settle for any other crew position provided it does not require he do any work he finds boring (lol). If his desired job isn't available, he'll probably spend most of his time cozying up to the crew with a charm offensive.

FUN FACT: Sailing and navigation is actually a hobby of Jake's! This dog carries a pocket sextant with him at all times in canon and can do navigational math in his head to plot courses, etc. We're subbing sea for sky, but it could come in handy!
