[He had been an essential player in governmental level of conspiracy to take over the country and turn it into dictatorship. He knows how deep corruption can run. And even outside of all that he can see how a technology like this could tempt someone to misuse it's power. Greed was more often than not the downfall of a human after all.]

I do suppose that is somewhat reassuring to hear.
