[ New places could take some adjusting to, sure, but there were unique pleasures too. First among them was definitely the smells; hundreds of them, maybe thousands, all new and ripe for discovery. After Finn was fed and asleep that first night, Jake decides its time to take a little stroll and see what there was to see.
Er, smell what there was to smell.
He was just in the middle of analyzing a sticky spot on the floor (vanilla bean, maybe a little cinnamon? oh yeah, this floor was getting licked) when the sound of footsteps down the corridor interrupts him. ]
Uh, hello? [ There's no response. Jake squints down the dark corridor, realizing for the first time that these hallways were pretty creepy after everyone was in bed. ] Heh, uh... probably just the ship settling...
[ Jake gets back to sniffing, tension momentarily forgotten, when a blood-curdling scream rips through the eerie silence. Jake jerks up, just in time for a brief glimpse of a distinctly pale figure draped in long black fabric. Jake yelps, hackles rising up in terror. Instincts take over, forcing out a couple alarm barks at the now-empty hallway, before fear wins out. Jake turns tail, running full speed back to Finn's room. ]
Nope. [ Jake pants, already thoroughly done with this haunted space station. ] Flip that, man. FLIP.THAT.
I'M LITERALLY SCREAMING
