The joke about telepathy makes him laugh, even if there's an underlying sense of but wait, what if he's serious? discomfort that comes with it. Fortunately, the sight of the can opener is something Jonesy's more familiar with (or, at least, familiar with while being equipped to handle it).

"You're completely valid," he says, nodding. "I don't think I've seen one of those since..." He pauses. "Actually, I don't think I've ever used one? But it looks more or less the same, just without the dial."

Jonesy holds his hand out. "Here, lemme try. Worst case scenario, I'll cut myself." Which is... decidedly not the most awful thing ever, for waking up in a place without any memory of getting there.
