callada: (dress best in boldly-striped sweaters)

That look, brief as it is, catches Rosinante's attention, but there's no way to know what it actually means. The guy might have just been surprised by his height - wouldn't be the first time here that's happened. On a mission he'd be alert for tells, but he'd have a briefing, some info of some sort, even if it was just Sengoku's suspicions, to help direct him. Here he's on his own.

Which is fine, it just makes him doubly untrusting of everyone in this completely bizarre and unusual situation. Who here has anything to do with him being brought here, snatched off the side of an island he should have died on instead? He'd thank them if he wasn't so baffled by what it even means.

This fellow here, well. May as well play along with the harmless civilian act, which for all he knows is the truth anyway. He offers a sympathetic nod.

"In most situations that's probably the right call. No sense putting yourself at risk. Do you end up in situations like that often?"

A little digging, but mostly he's trying to assess what would be appropriate to teach the guy. Even though that message came up when he entered this room, he supposes that doesn't mean the skill has to be combat-oriented. Knowing how not to be followed ought to count, right?
