The gun feels flimsy in his hands, nearly weightless, and he can't help but feel a bit silly continuing to hold it as if it were a real rifle. It probably doesn't even work. Still, his curiosity outweighing his self-consciousness for the moment and he dutifully racks the lever and prepares to fire.
There's a small puff when he pulls the trigger, milliseconds before something small and white flies out of barrel. Admittedly, the projectile only makes it a couple of meters before drifting in a lazy arc down to the ground, but Ade still starts in astonishment all the same. He really hadn't been expecting it to fire. Almost immediately, he lowers the gun and goes to pick up the fallen "bullet."
He spends only a moment examining it before he turns back to the other man with a befuddled smile. ]
