Yen will at least be somewhat more inclined to complete this task seeing as how it only really requires her to be present/available for other orbers'. She'll begrudgingly present herself as an open ear, especially since it will help her in General plans for the mission: Threads I want for this mission include: potentially getting in good with the royal family somehow, since she's got a lot of courtly experience as a king's mage, and using that to ask Questions of a nature. Maybe making up some cover story for this month using another orber to blend in more easily? (I'm always here for playing married for the mission, for the record.) Changes: Given that Witcher fandom always insists on making Yen a sea witch of some kind in these AUs, she's going to be getting her Ursula on — meaning octopus tentacles rather than any kind of fish tail (and yes, the tentacles will basically be like extra limbs that will likely be able to serve a variety of purposes but most often result in her covering someone's mouth if they're annoying her... or maybe wrapping around someone she wants to be closer to).
CR: Honestly, everyone and anyone! People who hail from any kind of magic-based world (or worlds that include magic or other form of power) would be a source of fascination for her, ladies especially; non-humans who might be able to recognize that she is not fully human herself; fellow olds/immortals who are actually much older than they appear (Yen is in her early 80s and thriving obvs); children/young adults that she might make an attempt to mother in her own misguided way; more talkative/outgoing characters for her to either tolerate or barely disguise her annoyance for. Romance is probably not in the cards for her (outside of one silver-haired witcher in particular), but she could pursue some type of casual physical relationship with someone she found intriguing enough or wasn't seriously irritated by — even a friends-with-occasional-benefits situation where there's no risk of deeper emotions coming into play. I'm definitely not opposed to negative CR in the slightest because she's got a tendency to rub people the wrong way by her very nature and has even fewer fucks to give about maintaining deep emotional connections, and she could lend herself to more than a few frenemies or begrudging allies as well.
